I have no idea why I thought this would be a good purchase for us. It's very large and fits under one of our doors that has kind of a high opening from the bottom of the door to the floor. It fits great in there. Why I put it there is another story - no idea. But it does what it should.

This will hold open a door with substantial clearance from the floor. My only beef is that it comes only in the dark brown color, rather than a gray that would better match my doors and be less obvious.

It does the job it carefully placed, not if not. Fortunately, it is unobtrusive, and does not get in the way of normal door operation. Probably depending on local factors (mostly floor and door) it is difficult to achieve an exact opening.

My doors are mounted pretty high, so it is essential to have a big door stop. The only problem is that it slides slightly on my wood floors. It needs better grip.

I used this to hold the garage entry door open when bringing in groceries. A typical garage entry door is a little heavier than doors throughout a house, and the floor in this case is tile. Under these conditions the door stop has to pushed under the door with a firm shove or it will slip. The description says it won't slip AT ALL but that's not true in my case. But placing it under the door with some deliberate force works, at least for the few minutes I need to bring in the groceries. Only minor complaint is that I noticed the identical product for only $1.95 a few weeks later at another site. I paid about $6 here but was happy to find a stop larger than the more common 1 inch tall stops.
