I was kind of disspointed after we got these up. We had to fiddle with almost all of the fixtures in order to get them to work. Luckily another user posted this which helped me very much."Purchased two boxes of these. Each string, only half the bulbs lit upon initial power-up. Bulbs were fine, it was the bulb holder assembly. UNPLUGGED the strings and using a small flat blade screwdriver, I gently bent up the tabs that make contact to the base of bulb. Please remember to unplug the lights before you do this, which is common sense...I shouldn't have to fix something when its new out of the box. This gives me suspect to the product and it's overall safety. If I didn't need these for my wedding in a week, I'd return them and pay a few dollars more for something more reliable."Edit: I'm changing my review after a few months of use. The lights have been perfect, and we haven't had any issues past having to pry the metal piece to connect to the light bulbs.

These are great durable lights, perfect for outdoor areas. I am using it for a covered patio hot tub area. I like the way they hang and look, but my only issue is the light bulbs seem to die so quickly. Maybe I got some defective bulbs but it seemed I was replacing a bulb every week or so. The connections are not as solid was what you would get with a regular fixture, but they do screw in securely enough to work and prevent water from getting in, a couple of them just required to mess with the metal tab inside (always unplug it first!). It generates a good deal of light and I do like that I can change the bulbs for "regular" sized bulbs, should I want to. Overall, a fantastic product.

We got these to put on our back block wall at the back of the yard. We live in AZ, and have a wash behind our home with coyotes and other critters lurking. So we wanted extra light back there for when we let our dog out, so if she starts barking we know what's back there. With the monsoon winds we didn't want glass bulbs banging and breaking against the block wall, so the acrylic bulbs are perfect! We did read the reviews and they were correct in that you do have to lift some of the tabs in the socket to make a good connection, but as long as you know what the issue is, it was an easy fix. Well worth the money!

We put the lights underneath our carport it(carport) stands 50ft wide by 30ft long ,we thought this would give even amount of light and it does, we are very happy with the amount of light it provides for us . My husband installed alone , with my supervision ,of course,(chuckle) . All bulbs work ,all sockets work no breakage in shipping except we live 300YDs off the road and the postman left it at the mailbox , had to say this, we have so much with the postal service. My daughter seeing this has ordered 3 Strings for her40 ft long by 30 ft wide porch ,can't wait to get hers installed

These lights are about 3 feet apart and put out plenty of light. Almost too much for our screened porch. The construction is sturdy and the bulb seals tightly into the socket. So tight that I was wondering if I had gotten a bad batch of bulbs until I gently snugged them more deeply into the sockets. Everyone likes the new lights. Can't address durability but the lights appear very durable. I used cup hooks to have the lights with a little slack between each bulb and covered all there exterior sides of the porch. The quality of construction seems to indicate a good value for the money.

Very nice around the patio. Have yet to need a replacement bulb. Lots of compliments.

I was looking for something stylish and functional to light up my patio for the summer. However, I don't want to spend too much time on installing or even have to hire an electrician. A few searches later, I found this product. The package arrived a couple of days later and it is already in place! The shipping, the installation, and the result are very satisfactory! I also realized that it uses a little electricity which I didn't think of in the first place. What a bonus! Summer goes fast. I would recommend this product to any home that enjoy outdoor leisure.

We purchased 4 boxes of these lights to install on our lanai around the pool. Within an hour the lights were connected, strung, and producing a lovely warm glow. We chose these lights because they are waterproof, shatterproof, and of commercial grade with 3' between bulbs. We were not disappointed! Even though the lights are strung 25' above the ground, there is more than enough illumination to dine and converse. Recently the lights withstood a terrible FL rainstorm and we're confident they will last for years to come. Exceptional product at a reasonable price!
