How wide is the narrowest part of the opening? I have a large tea diffuser i need to fit inside that's 3.2 inches in diameter

It will be very close the top of mine is a little over 3 inches.

Is the glass to thin and easy to break?

It is thin. May be not easy to break but in comparison to my other pitchers I felt like this one was very light n thin glass. I bought it just because I wanted a pitcher with a lid because I live in an apartment and we have roaches problem.
