It works for automotive
I was not expecting much for this price. My old gun was too far gone and caked too much so thought this would do for a budget job on my old Audi. Actually I am amazed at its performance. So far I tested it out on using automotive paint on an antique fridge, spraying Ford Ranger white. So far so good so I went ahead and used it for the front end bumper cover and hood on my 2011 metallic grey Audi. It came out great! I can spray and refreshed watching many YouTube videos.

Decent spray guns for the money. Make sure to clean before use!
I needed new spray guys for spraying automotive primer, paint and clear coats.Took a chance on these guns and what I’ve found is:The paint gun, regardless of a 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, or 2.0 in my case MUST be completely torn down, stripped and cleaned before even thinking of using. There is some sort of thread sealant on the portion of the brass part of the nozzle of the gun, and it’s truly a pain to clean this out.I have found remnants of metal from when the tips were machined on at least 3 of the 5 spray guns I purchased. After dialing in the guns, I found the 1.3 is fantastic for spraying clear coat. The 1.4 and 1.5 guns are great for base coat materials. My 2.0 gun got blocked up from trying to spray a 0.015 metalflake, however I had too much flake in my intercoat which settled and clogged the gun up.Overall, these guns do their job decently well and for a guy wanting to spray stuff, they will do the job.Only gripe I had was the 1.4 was out of stock, so I bought a second 1.3 gun and a 1.4 tip kit, and just swapped out.Color coding on some of the gun parts makes it nice to ID a clear, base coat or primer gun to keep things separate especially when doing multiple colors on custom work.Decent spray guns for the money. Make sure to clean before use!

Great gun for the money
Finishing a credenza for my daughter, and being a professional commercial painter in my former life (I'm retired) I knew how to use a HVLP gun. Although my 1st time using a gravity feed cup, it exceeded my expectations. I used a thinned oil base semi-gloss and top coated with a gloss poly urethane. Both products were easy to apply. With material and pressure adjustments, I achieved the fan and finish I was looking for. The regulator that was included with the kit is a piece of junk and I didn't use it....or need it. I made all air adjustments at the gun. For the money, a great tool. I cannot speak for the longevity of the gun but using it several days in a row and then again a week later, no hiccups. I did however clean the equipment throughly after every use. That is the ticket to a hassle free operation of the Equipment .

Find the proper settings for your fluid!
This is my 3rd Aeropro (TCP GLOBAL) gun that I bought and use. I have a 1.3mm, 2.5mm, and now this 1.4mm.All work very well. This one, the 1.4mm sprays down the base very well. In order to minimize any orange peel you just need to be a little further away from the panel and move fairly quickly across it as well. I'm spraying at 2 bar. Product I'm spraying is Valspar auto paint. I can honestly say that these guns work very well for the price you pay. Good results come from good technique. The guns spray just fine. If you are having issues, practice more with finding the right settings for what YOU are spraying with. All materials sprayed need to have their own settings. There is no Universal one setting works for everything. Different thickness, different consistency requires you to find the best air flow /fluid flow settings.

Much better than the freight tool store
In case you are trying to compare this gun with the HF offerings, I have their HVLP gun costing about 30 dollars more than this one. There is no comparison in performance between the two. This TCP Global gun comes with a regulator to attach directly to the gun, which honestly I didn't think I would like, but it works great and is not in the way.The spray pattern and atomization achieved with the TCP gun is far superior also. Most of what I spray is shellac, varnish and lacquer, but occasionally will spray oil based paint. The light coatings are a pleasure to spray, and cover evenly and quickly without orange peel or runs.I'm sure there are better guns, but for this price point, I would buy this one again in a heart beat.

Disapointing at best
I bought this gun as a 1 job throwaway. All it needed to do was spray a half gallon of thinned down primer, a half gallon of black base and a third gallon of clear. The top fit so tight that 1/4 way into the base, the cup was bending where it screws into the gun. The metal is too thin to handle the force needed to snap the top into the cup. The gun itself is fine as far as sprayability. Too bad I have to wait on another gun or replacement cup for this gun to arrive. Testing the TCP Global customer service waters here.
