Q: What are the skittles and counters for?

The skittles are used for division, and are shaped as such because in the lesson they represent a person. Their color corresponds to the color of units, tens, hundreds, or thousands. The stamps are divided among the skittles to give you the quotient. The circular counters are place keepers in the event your divisor contains a zero. For example when 3827 ÷102, you would divide the stamps as evenly as possible between 1 red skittle and 2 green skittles, using a blue circle in the place of the zero (which doesn’t get any stamps in this method).

There are cards for this stamp game. Like math flash cards. My daughter attends a Montessori elementary school and they use both. However, I cannot find them. Sending the teacher a text tomorrow

Q: how many of each tile, and other pieces, are included?

I counted fifty blue 10 tiles and I am assuming there are also about fifty red100 tiles and about fifty green unit tiles. I counted about 24 green thousand tiles (I have had mine for a while so I probably have lost some). There are ten red men, ten blue men and ten green men, 5 of each color disks and one large green piece.
