Rooting for You

Interesting way to present "growing up". Not sure a three or four year old needs to be concerned about growing up. And a 5 year old should be able to manipulate the fold-outs. I thought there would be a little more to the story to make it clearer as the story progresses. I think a baby chick would have been a more relative subject.

Some might think this book is about growing up and it might have that in it but I believe it's more about a new experience. Knowing things change in life and sometimes you need help from friends and family to go through those experiences.I love this book. I'm in school for teaching and I believe this book is a great way to show children about change in life.

Such silly negative reviews. My son loves this book. The expanding pages are fun. We borrowed this book from the library and my son loves it so much I am going to purchase it. It is a very cute story with great pictures. It is exciting to watch the plant grow. The book is more about overcoming fear than just growing up. It is about being positive and not hiding in a shell.

This an adorable story that my daughter absolutely loves. She loves the way the pages unfold and I love the inspiring message of courage that it gives. I highly recommend it!
