BUY IT! It really works!!!😃
I live in Phoenix Az and we had a pigeon problem since my stupid neighbors began feeding them next door. We have a pool with beach entry and the pigeons used it as a bird bath. Anyhow I ordered this bird super sonic device and set for daytime and pigeon setting and in the first hour pigeons were gone. However being that they are homing pigeons they did not go far and as soon as I turned it off they cautiously returned. So next day I turned it on again and set it along rear fence walk facing my house and angled slighty at about 30 degree angle, not sure if it made a difference, but wanted the sound to be directed toward the roof. Anyhow, i kept it plugged in and on for a few days and the birds moved to a house 2 streets behind us. I went ahead and left it on for a full month and believe it or not there are no pigeon anywhere within my neighborhood of around at least 1/4 mile. No joke guys!!! We had a new roof installed and I did not want these rats pooping om my new concrete tile so this is why I bought it. One of my neighbors did complain about the noise cause it spooked his dog but this was the same dumb Johnny Apple Seed $@!#% who was feeding the pigeons in the first place so I told him to STFU. Anyhow it also attracted some real hawks which may have actually helped. It has been about 10 months since the pigeon left and they are still gone. The other reviewers must not be allowing this time to work. It really does. I will try and load pics of my roof and neighborhood to show that there are no pigeons anymore. We do have crows but they don't bother me at all.I could use the crow setting if they did. I recommend this unit 100%. Just be sure to place in shade or the plastic clear cover will yellow slightly. No biggie it still works. I will keep and if those pigeons ever return I will plug it in again. But I don't think they will ever be back. Yes!!!!

Save your money, don’t buy this.
Don’t buy this. First off, it allows 7 different noises, each corresponding to a specific bird. What if you can’t identify the birds? The "general" setting doesn’t work. This is the third product from this company I’ve tried, nothing they make works. All Bird-X or Bird B Gone products are a waste of time and money!

When it's running, it works!
We had some woodpeckers pecking at our cedar shingles and siding. I bought this and no more woodpeckers! I have been pleasantly surprised by how well this works (so far, about three months). Two days after we hooked it up, my son inadvertently shut it off by unplugging and plugging back in (see flaws). The woodpeckers came back later that day. Reset it, back on, no more woodpeckers. There are two flaws that prevent me from giving it five stars. 1) If it is unplugged, or loses power for any reason, it will not resume when power is restored. You have to manually reset it. It's very easy to set, but if you go out of town and there is a brief power outage, it will not function until you get back home and reset it. Not ideal. 2) The 12V power supply that came with it quite working after a couple weeks, creating intermittent problems. Fortunately, I had another (better quality) power supply that I was able to use with the unit and it has worked flawlessly ever since. This would probably force most people to return it.

Set the right sound, and volume
I tried everything to get rid of the Starlings that turned my pool cover into a filthy bird bath. These birds have no fear, they would land on the side of the pool 2 feet from us while we were swimming. All the other birds were gone because of these bullies of rhe sky.I tried owls, which I moved daily, snakes, a rubber alligator, a spray (which sorta worked if you sprayed it 2-3 x daily)The birds would just laugh at me and continue to poop everywhere. Then I bought this device. I really did not expect much. But I plugged it in. Saw a pigeon on.my fense, so set it to pigeon, the device played and the pigeon flew away. Hummmm. Ok.Then I set it to Starling. And since that I time I have seen just one starling, it landed in.my yard far end away from the device. So I turned yhe device up a bit, and I haven't seen one of those nasty birds since. My pool cover is clean. No more birds hanging out and pooping everywhere.TBH we found the noise weird at first, but within a few days we just leaned to live it, and it's no big deal now.

Works, But Could Be Better
We have issues with woodpeckers on our house. This product looked like a good solution. The "Woodpecker" setting emits a series of sounds that do deter the birds from pecking on our wood siding, but there are some issues.First, one would expect to see woodpeckers in wooded, rural areas, which is where we live. Our area is also prone to infrequent power outages due to a lot of above-ground electrial wires, winds, snow, ice, etc. Problem here is that the system does not hold its settings in a power outage and remains silent when the power returns. This could have been avoided with the use of a different chip that did not lose its settings during a power outage.Second, although you can adjust the volume of the main unit, the volume on any add-on speakers cannot be adjusted and is set to "High", very high. Why could not a simple volume knob have been added to the add-on speakers?Third, rain blew into one of the add-on speakers and then froze causing this speaker to fail. It now just barely emits any sound so I'll have to purchase a replacement. One would think that speakers that are designed to be used outdoors would be more weatherproof.Overall the system is helping to keep the woodpeckers at bay, but this could have gotten 5 stars with just a few improvements.
