Got this unit in June and it worked great! Setup: very easy and the app connected to the unit quickly after charging. Battery life: after the initial charge, the solar panels kept the battery above 90% all summer. Cleaning: I have several short pine needle trees in my neighbor’s yards and a get a ton of needles daily. This unit easily kept up with the needles and I barely had any debris on the pool bottom. Features/connectivity: the monitoring features in the app work great. I travel a lot for work and I could monitor the unit anywhere and even got alerts if got stuck by my ladder. Propulsion: the twin propellers work great for navigating the pool. A couple of things to be mindful - if the unit approaches my ladder from the side, the eyes don’t see it and the unit will stay stuck against the ladder - a simple push gets it going again. Also, if it is cleaning while the filter pump was is running the unit sometimes gets caught in the flow from the jet and will sit there running against the flow. The propellers aren’t strong enough to overcome the flow rate. Overall not big issues at all.

This review is for the AIPER Surfer S2 Solar Pool Skimmer with APP Support, 24/7 Cleaning, Dual Charging Modes, Smart Obstacle Avoidance, Ideal for All Swimming Pool Types. I received it earlier in the Summer, and it's done a fantastic job throughout, but in the fall is where I'm really reaping the benefits. My neighbour has some deciduous trees, and it's one the the earliest to drop it's leaves. We have still had some really warm days so I'm hesitant to close the pool. This Beast has been great at scooping the surface garbage before it goes underwater. The sun isn't as strong as in the height of summer, but the panel gets enough to keep it going. The skimmer is relatively easy to handle and scoop out of the pool. Emptying the filter is also easy. I don't use the Bluetooth, and it does a great job getting around the pool and hitting all the spots.

The AIPER Surfer S2 arrived in a well-packaged box, and I was immediately impressed by its sleek, futuristic design. The solar panel on top is a standout feature, emphasizing its eco-friendly appeal. The build quality feels sturdy, and the compact size makes it easy to handle. Setup was straightforward, with clear instructions and minimal assembly required. Setting up the AIPER Surfer S2 was a breeze. Simply charge it via USB for the first use, place it in the pool, and let the solar panel do the rest. The app guides you through the initial setup and pairing process. Once in the water, the skimmer gets to work immediately. It moves quietly and efficiently, covering the entire pool surface without missing spots. The smart navigation system ensures it avoids obstacles, and the app provides real-time updates on cleaning progress. Emptying the debris basket is quick and easy. The basket is large enough to hold a significant amount of debris, reducing the frequency of cleaning. The skimmer is made from high-quality, UV-resistant materials that withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight and pool chemicals. After weeks of use, it shows no signs of wear or damage. The solar panel remains efficient, and the internal battery holds a charge well. Minor Drawbacks: 1. While the solar panel is a great feature, it’s less effective on cloudy or rainy days, requiring more frequent USB charging. 2. The skimmer doesn’t handle debris at the bottom of the pool, so you’ll still need a separate pool vacuum for thorough cleaning. 3. Occasionally, the app loses connection with the skimmer, requiring a restart to The AIPER Surfer S2 Solar Pool Skimmer is a fantastic investment for pool owners who want to keep their water clean with minimal effort. Its solar-powered operation, smart navigation, and app support make it a standout choice for modern, eco-conscious households. While it’s not without its flaws (solar dependency and surface-only cleaning), its efficiency and convenience more than make up for them. Skip If: - You need a skimmer that also cleans the bottom of the pool. - You live in an area with limited sunlight and prefer a non-solar option. Pro Tip: Use the skimmer in conjunction with a pool vacuum for a spotless pool from top to bottom. Schedule cleaning sessions via the app to ensure your pool is always ready for a swim!

So I've used this solar powered pool cleaning device since opening my pool. It has worked flawlessly. Who would have thought this little robot would be so darn awesome. This is a mid range peace of kit. It has some good features and software that elevates it above some of it's competition. With a 36h battery life and ease of use. This might be the ultimate companion for those days where you want to enjoy you're pool instead of cleaning it. The build: This product is built with dense high precision molds that are designed to be fully submersible. It boasts high precision spacial awareness sensors that can navigate many types of surfaces. These include flat, decline, incline, walls, rounded and stairs. The cleaning heads offer surface and side scrubbing actions. The robot also sucks in small to medium sized debris with ease. As scene on the pictures above the bottom roller treads are suction based and offer a smooth transition from floor to walls. Without damaging you're pools cover. The recharging receptacle is fully inclosed in a water tight gasket preventing any leaks and potential moisture damage. The large detritus basket is easy to remove and features micro mesh technology. Optimizing water clarity and offering a superior micro particulate sieve. The latest model offers an upgraded back door design. Specifically used in manual mode when performing backtracking maneuvers. The other version would sometimes spit out leaves and other particulates. Thanks to this welcome upgrade that is a thing of the past. Cleaning modes: There are 2 cleaning modes to choose from. Auto, and manual. 1 Auto Mode cleans the entire pools surface..then docs the vacuum close to the edge for easy access. 2 Manual mode: Allows you to control the robot directly via the app. You can guide it's path in real time. In use: I have tested this unit for the past 2 months without any hiccups. It has been consistently good and does it's job with minimal effort. I have tested in in my own above ground circular pool and my sisters in ground rectangular pool. It performed great in both circumstances. Offering the same level of leaning power. For all the good there was a handful of times that the robot got confused on my sisters regular stairs. After turning it off then back on it worked fine after recalibration. Since this is a battery operated machine it takes it's time and might be a bit slow for some users. Cleaning my sisters 28L buy 10W foot pool took almost 1h50mins. This included the walls and surface. In my modest 24 foot above ground pool it took 1hour. Witch is pretty good especially considering, I only had to empty the basket once. In the fall it needed more frequent emptying around 2 to 3 times per use. Since I have many trees on my property. . The unit also charges in the sun offering a constant cleaning solution with even less fuss. This is especially true if you have no trees in you're yard. Yet with the constant shade my unit needed to be topped up at the end of a hard days work. Final thoughts: If you are looking for the robot that could. Then look no further THEN the AIPER surface s2 solar. The ultimate pool cleaning solution. Stop stressing and start relaxing this summer. No worries when guest come over for that all important pool party. The top will be sparkling clean. With it's ease of use high precision sensors 2 modes of operation, voice assistant, solar power, full manual control and great battery life. This might just be the ultimate solution for you're pool cleaning needs. HIHGLY RECOMMENDED

I’ve got three Aiper pool robots, this, Scuba S1, and Seagull pro; I’m happy with them all, but this one is my favorite. First, I want to get the one negative con out of the way, and I hope Aiper sees this: The one negative is that I have three Aiper pool robots, all manufactured and bought within the same year, and each one uses a different adapter and different plug design. Why Aiper? Pick one adapter, pick one water proof charging plug design, and stick with it! This is an unnecessary pain for the customer, and is surely leading to a manufacturing inefficiency on your side. My adapter for this Surfer stopped working; I should be able to use one of the other Aiper adapters, but no, they are all very different. With that out of the way and hopefully in the hands of the design engineers… this Surfer robot is a nearly perfect design and has been a game changer on the work involved in pool maintenance. It might be a waste for someone with a pool in a birdcage, but with mine out in the elements, the Surfer has vastly reduced the amount of leaves and debris that makes it to the bottom of the pool. I only have to touch the Surfer once a week to clean the filter basket, but otherwise, due to the large batteries and solar panel, it runs 24/7, with no intervention from me. After six months, my charging adapter stopped working, but charging is unnecessary until this winter; as of now, the summer sun is enough to keep it running 24/7. I gotta say the app is nice too… it actually features a live meter of how strong the sun is, so you know how well the robot is being charged. Of course it also shows how much battery charge is left. They recently added a new feature to pause, so it can stay on to be recharging, without the motors draining the battery… that would be handy in places or seasons without strong sun, to allow it time to be charged by the panel. But the Florida summer keeps it running 24/7 without having to pause or plug it in.
