After receiving multiple requests if these glasses have UV protection, I inquired with 3M directly. It does have UV protection. Q: Do these give good peripheral sun protection to wear while driving?

Yes, I've worn these in many conditions here in South Florida and it has great protection all around. I wore them to my last eye exam, the dcoctor asked if he could look at them. He took them and examined them with several devices in his office, cane back, handed them to me and said "these are as good as the really good sunglasses we sell, how much did you pay for these." When I told him, he just kinda laughed and said, they offer 95% protection, that the $300 glasses offer!

They are as dark as any other sunglasses but being grey don't distort colors the way some other colors do.
