Nope. Keep shopping and look elsewhere.
I test all of my gear ahead of time. There's nothing worse than buying a product for a need, and having it not perform or work at all. Usually I list Pros and Cons about a product, but this one - like many others in the emergency gear genre - is so bad, I don't recommend buying at all. Here's why: When I got the product, I noticed the type of relatively brittle plastic they used for the body of the radio - very cheap and is known for cracking or breaking when dropped. I could also could hear something rattling inside. Loose electronics is always a bad sign, so I opened it up. Immediately, two bundles of unsecured 3000mah 18650 batteries fell right out, and I immediately noticed several things. This product claims to be IPX6 but lacks any sort of gaskets, seal, membrane or coating that would prevent the ingress of water into the body of the product. Further, I could see my table top from the back of the panel through small openings in the body. The only thing remotely waterproof was the rubber door that goes over the USB ports, but that doesn't matter when water can easily enter the device. Pretty gimmicky. While this product boasts some really good specs on paper, the fact that some of them don't live up to minimum expectation even before turning the product on is concerning. I turned it on. It functioned as expected for the most part: - AM/FM radio was functional on the basic level for a handheld radio and received some radio stations with moderate clarity at best. - LCD display was crisp and clear, displaying info properly. - LED light on the front was decent and put out a reasonable amount of light. Though the top light made me laugh after it kept getting caught in the flimsy hand strap. - Battery life was about 20% less than described in the product images and description. - Radio tuning is manual so you have to press the button every channel you cycle through. No channel scanner. The krank charging handle was loose which you don't want because you lose energy from the crank action while trying to charge the device. A well manufactured hand crank will have a tighter handle. Final words: Take it from someone who has been through multiple natural disasters such as tornado, hurricane, floods, fires, and an earthquake. When there's an emergency, you need your gear to perform. In some cases, your life and the lives of those around you may depend on the quality and performance of the product you buy now. This product is barely passable for basic use and would perform poorly in more austere environments such as a natural disaster where moisture, dust, heat or cold may be an issue. At a very high price tag of $50 (Current price as of today), I'd expect more from the product. To the manufacturer: People need to trust their products. This means the information you provide your customers needs to be 100% accurate so they can make educated and informed decisions about the product they are purchasing. Nothing about this product is waterproof to the IP rating you provided. Also you need some serious quality control as your product suffers greatly from poor design and assembly. If you are going for being a premium brand or just making a premium product, don't start out by cutting the corners you are now. With the high price you're charging, you can afford to do better - much better.
