Directions are useless. You don’t need them anyway since you’ll likely have to make modifications to make this work for your window. I live in an 1888 victorian house with the original windows. They stink for a/c units. There’s a weird piece of metal that someone must have added to hold a screen in, back in the mid 1900s, that no longer has a screen in it. It’s an apartment — so second floor and I have no access to a ladder. Hanging out the window to assemble this sucked. Especially since my drill is super heavy. You can’t really assemble all the pieces and then install it because you have to level everything as you go. And until the main H shaped structure is installed, you can’t assemble the “leg” supports because you wouldn’t know what angle they need to be installed at. Also sticking the bolts through the tiny holes while hanging out the window sucked. If you can use a ladder and have a second person to help, that would be best. One of you inside and one outside. Basically, it’s hard and takes time. I had to use scrap pieces of 2x4 boards, that I had in hand, to lift everything up high enough, and then added the plastic pieces on top of the scrapwood. I also had to add a screw into the side of the house under the rubber footer, to give them support because they were sliding, even though the bolts/washers were tightened. If you can, you should do the same, rather than risking having to later remove the a/c just to add them. It’s a worth while and good priced support, but keep in mind that it’s a project and you need to set aside some time to get it right. Also, I recommend installing it far enough out so you can close the window during the months you don’t have the a/c installed. Otherwise you’ll have to go through this horrible process every year.

constructed great and is solid, however i noticed like others that sometimes the feet would move a little bit, that was solved with just buying 2 screws and screwing in the 2 feet so the feet wouldn't slide. Now AC the window unit sits nice and is sturdy and solid and the bracket doesnt slip anymore.

real easy to set up. there are no predrilled holes or anything that will actually lock on to your unit to keep it in place so no one can easily just move it or rip it out so its just sitting there ready to vibrate out the window. it needs some kind of mounting so it will hold onto the unit

I have a bedroom with a 21” wide sideways sliding vinyl window opening. This Qualward a/c support was the only one I could find with double support arms that could fit that narrow of a space. I wanted two supports since there’s no window frame to keep the a/c unit square in the opening. Because I hate drill holes in window frames I used a 36” long piece of 3”x2” (painted white) to screw the support arms into. The 3”x2” sits along side the window guide rail and distributes any pulling force along its length, is too long to come through the window opening and has enough height for the supports to easily clear the guide rail. I had to do some trial and error adjustment to the exterior support arms to get the right downward slope (about 3 to 4 degrees) on the top of the a/c unit while putting the cross piece in the right place to support the back of the unit but I did find the perfect combination after a few test fits. With the narrow supports I was able to give great stable support to a 6000 btu Insignia A/C. The price for the support was great but the cost to ship to Canada was expensive. Maybe Qualward could find a way to sell this great versatile product through Amazon.ca?

Très bon support, il super facile à monter, 4 vis et 2 goupilles en tout. Il est très solide et s’adapte parfaitement sur la fenêtre, même sans perçage, si on ajoute deux cales en bois.
