This is a nice compact server.
This is a nice little server. I'm no guru with servers so the software is a bit overkill for what I am doing. It would be nice if they offered a simpler solution for folks like me. The struggle is real. Over all the hardware is sturdy and placing all the drives is simple. It is performing as expected and I have no complaints. How's mine setup you ask..... Well, I have 2 2TB 2.5 iron wolf spinny disks and four 1TB Samsung 970 SSDs. All is working well so far. I've had it running for about 6 months.

Good quality and fast!
Plug and play. The 10G port is a nice way to string switches close to each other together. My network has 3 of this brands switches that I upgraded from 1 gig switches. Using the proper cabling and now my network easily exceeds 2 gigs! Build quality seems as good as any I've been using for 10 years. A good value overall.

Fast, Reliable 10G Switch
This 10G switch was truly plug-and-play and immediately recognized all of my devices. I had no issues running 10G, 2.5G, and 1G connections together, and performance has been excellent. The only downside is that it runs louder than I expected due to the cooling fan, so it may not be ideal if it's sitting in a quiet office or living space. Otherwise, it's a solid unmanaged multi-gig switch.

Garbage
Home use and ONLY lasted 6 months. Connected to High quality UPS the entire time. Throw your money away rather than buy this, it would be more fun.

Works great, easy to use, just plug it in.
Switched to Google Fiber at 3GB speed, wanted to upgrace from 1GB switch speed. This 2.5GB switch increased my speed to +2GB. Got 2nd one for additional wired network connections. Works great 👍.

Great office switch with 10G fiber uplink to my house.
Working great so far to run the network in my office. I have all 16 Ethernet ports populated and verified 2.5G connectivity on all of them over some old cat5e cable (longest run about 20 meters). I am using a 10G fiber uplink to my house and there have been very few problems. I believe throughput at 10G is accurate, I ran a performance test with 2 computers at 2.5G at the same time and they both reported nearly 2.5G speed to the 10G server. The active cooling fans are noisy, but they do their job. Boot time is considerably high. It's probably not an issue for most users, especially if you keep it on all the time, but it was kinda concerning when I fired it up the first time and I wasn't getting a link light for the fiber-optic, luckily something else distracted me and I didn't check back on it for a few minutes, then it came on.

Good budget option with full features, but requires knowledge and/or research for full usage
8 Ports SFP Switch Managed Though not without its own issues, I am giving this 5 stars for one VERY specific reason: PRICE POINT vs Feature set Does this thing have any documentation? No Is there a website to get information? No Are there firmware updates? Also (apparently) No Is this easy to use? Depends on your knowledge set and willingness to "just figure it out" Is the fan quiet? NO. ABSOLUTELY NO. ITS SUPER LOUD Does it route? YES Is it cheap? HELL YES Look, sometimes you get what you pay for. Sometimes that means a sacrifice in quality but from my experience so far, this thing actually works AND provides a lot of features. I believe the quality I am sacrificing in this case is the documentation and support, not the hardware itself. Fit and finish is absolutely fine too. The chipset (RTL9303) is fairly robust all things considered. I replaced the fan inside with a Noctua (12v for anyone looking) to quiet things down, that helped a LOT in my homelab setup, though I did need to use an adapter to connect the 2 pin header on the board with the 3 pin connector on the fan. For anyone coming after me, if you are experiencing intermittent packet loss (~5%, more or less depending) and you have already done the normal troubleshooting with cable and/or SFP+ model replacement, try changing: VLAN -> VLAN -> Port Setting -> Mode from Trunk to either Access or Hybrid, depending on your needs. I am not sure why this chipset appears to be losing some packets for me using Trunk mode, but both Access and Hybrid have resolved my issues. Would I like more update firmware? Yes. Would I like some documentation? Yes. But the reality is I am getting FAR more features for a WAY better price than I would be for some of the other offerings on the market.
