The instructions are easy to follow, and the results will come in the time it says.I had my doubts, since it tested positive for E.coli, at exactly the time the instructions said it would, if positive.Be aware that the time frame is very important to follow for this type of testing.After the test came positive, I had to do a water test from a local lab, and they confirmed the presence of e.coli. I'm glad I did this previous test . If you suspect your water may be contaminated this is a great first step to rule out bacteria or E.coli. If it test positive, I would recommend another test from a lab to confirm it.

Directions were easy. Results easy to use. Had a little trouble not losing too much water when the container was closed but we figured it out.

The activation product did not work. We emailed the company and they provided excellent customer service. A refund was promptly credited.

Testing unit works well but replacement reagents are expensive.

Used this to test our well water after a strip test suggested bacteria issues with our hot water. Raised the heater temperatures to 135 first, no kids and 120f does allow bacterial growth. Tested a month or two after. Followed directions carefully, only problem was screwing down the concentrator, but practiced ahead of time so actual test was fine, and both came up negative (yay!)

We purchased a few of these test kits before we moved into our new house. We wanted to test our piping for any contamination. I have traveled a lot overseas and have been personally ill from drinking contaminated water. We used one test kit on pool and the other on our shower. The results showed levels above 500 cfu/mL from the pool and in our shower. We took the same samples to a lab and got the results back in 1 week, and they showed the same. Thanks to this quick screening test, AquaVial Plus, we did not use the water until we had a plumber come in an disinfect our piping. Amazing technology! We highly recommend this product!

I have used other water testing kits that I much prefer to this one. The coliform test uses a two-part container with a plunger that is challenging to screw and unscrew. It was difficult to tell how much water I was supposed to use, and it was a two-step process where you press the plunger, water overflows, you drain it off, and then add distilled water from a little pouch that was hard to pour from without spilling, and plunge it again. I felt completely lacking in confidence that I had done it correctly. I definitely will not buy this again.
