Great Tree!
The tree was beautifully packaged and arrived ahead of schedule. It came with detailed information about care. I planted it in a 22 inch planter about a week after it arrived, and I plan to keep it indoors year round since I live in the NW. I have it in a southeast facing window and have fertilized as advised, but so far it hasn't grown, not even a little. It hasn't died and looks relatively healthy, just hasn't grown in the month since it's arrived. Probably wouldn't recommend this as a house plant, but would definitely recommend buying from this seller if planning to plant the tree outdoors.Update: It has now been a full six months since I've had the tree. I've moved and now have the tree in a West facing window. It has about 10 new leaves and many, many more leaf buds! A few months ago, it was COVERED in tiny avocado flowers, but none of them turned into fruit. The tree didn't fare very well during the winter indoors (and maybe didn't like the move) and lost about 75% of its original leaves. It's strange, the new leaves are about twice the size of the original leaves and more round vs. spear shaped. They're also a much lighter green, although they do look healthy.

No avocados yet
I bought this tree four years ago. It’s still alive, but hasn’t made any avocados. I expected some during about the third year, but nothing yet. It’s grown a little bit, but seems to struggle with my climate (I’m in zone 5). It’s been in a large pot since I got it, and we bring it inside every winter and outside every spring (but it’s heavy now and a lot of work to move it). When I first received it in the mail, it had a tiny avocado on it (I assumed it was a pretty fresh cutting), but it fell off before it got bigger than a penny. Last year it had a lot of nice flowers, and I was hopeful for fruit, but all the flowers fell off when I moved it outside. It’s a nice little tree and I’m still hopeful for fruit in the next couple years. It’s also a great conversation piece because no one around here has any trees like it!

Clifton's Little Cado 5 gal
I have no idea where these 5 star ratings are coming in from, but I use to own a 2.5 acre avocado grove. Very over priced for a 5 gal coming from their CA location to my CA location. The tree was in serious shock, which could be caused by several reasons.I called the customer service number on the packing slip, which was in Pennsylvania?, and simply wanted to know what had or had not been put into the soil before shipping and how long it was boxed up before shipment. Yes the packaging was well done. Important need to know info. If they watered it before shipping (bad idea)but easy fix, but with what? not so easy fix. I needed to know as not to kill the poor little droopy thing. The nice service rep from PA forwarded my Q to Clifton's with the info that I grew Avocados for decades. No response. Tried again (the tree is dying)no response.I have done everything to the best of my knowledge to treat this poor thing and it is barely hanging in there. I give it a 50/50 chance.Good news: I got 3 new leaves after 50 days! But the rest of the tree UGG. I Will update come spring.

Very, very pleased!
I am extremely happy with this company. I ordered an avocado tree a month and a half or so ago. I guess it was too chilly to ship it because it was in pretty bad shape when I got it. I contacted the seller and he gave me some tips on how to try to revive the tree and asked to give it a month. I babied it but It ended up dying anyway. I contacted him back and told him that the tree died and he sent me another tree. And not only did he send me another tree...he sent me an OUTSTANDING tree!! It is healthy, has lots of leaves and is about 5 feet tall. I am very pleased at this company's customer service and I most certainly will be purchasing from them again.

Tree arrived in good condition with exception of a 1
Tree arrived in good condition with exception of a 1.5 inch section on trunk where bark was missing. After following the instructions sent with tree to leave in pot to acclimate to new climate for a few months, the tree still seems to be doing fine. I plan to trans plant to bigger pot (22") in fall to minimize shock.

Unfortunate tree
The tree arrived in miserable condition, all but 2 leaves dead. I tried babying it but no luck. It died. These are probably wonderful growers, but I wouldn’t buy unless you pick it up directly.

Arrived in great shape but didn't make it through the So Cal "winter"
This was a gift off my wish list, and it was all I hoped it could be. I set it out in a pot per the instructions on one of the "questions" that was answered by the seller. So far so good. It now has to make it successfully through a WINDY Southern California "winter." But I have high hopes. I will update as things progress. So far I've had it for six weeks. Update: I lowered the stars to three from five. The tree is completely dead. It didn't make it through the winter. I wish it had come with links to info on how to baby it along. I guess it's just bad luck, but I'm very disappointed.
