It's one of those tools that every man (and woman) needs!
When I was a much younger man, I worked as an inspector in a factory. I always had a 150 mm rule in my white factory-coat pocket. Now I'm retired I'm spending a lot more time fixing old things. Very often I need to make quick measurements ... and this tool is always in my shirt pocket.It's clearly marked with mm on one side and inches on the other and is easy to read ... even with my 70+ year-old eyes. And it's not too expensive.I've read some reviews that criticise its accuracy. I've compared it against a good-quality steel rule and with a vernier calliper. I can find no significant errors ... not even a zero error. I have no hesitation in recommending this as being perfectly adequate for most mortals.

Very poor quality 0
Junk! Very poor quality 0.9mm out over any 150mm (checked with calibrated slip gauges). First metric and imperial division has an additional 0.7mm out. Chinas finest.

Its made of steel, its a ruler
What's to say? Its hard, shiny and has gradations in both inches and metric. I've no doubt it will last my (and anyone else's) lifetime.
