After being a VERY happy Somnofit-S customer for over a year now, this is what I can tell you:1. My snoring is absolutely gone, and the scary gasping noises that my husband noticed me making are gone. I wake up feeling rested and refreshed. (Please note that I was never formally diagnosed with sleep apnea, but my husband said that I would periodically gasp for breath in my sleep.)2. I’m on my second Somnofit-S, and the first one lasted a full year before I felt the need to replace it because the plastic started looking a little cloudy. Note that I clean it in a sonic cleaner every morning now, but for the first year I just used a toothbrush to clean it every day. I feel that using the sonic cleaner plus a retainer cleaning tablet works really well and maybe extends the life of the device.3. My body took about two to three weeks to adjust to wearing something in my mouth while I slept, and during that time I would often take it out in my sleep---so don’t give up too soon. I was used to it after a few weeks. Now it doesn’t bother me at all. I use the middle sized strap because I have a pretty normal jaw (no underbite or overbite), but the device does come with different strap sizes so you can find the right length for you to avoid jaw pain.4. I took the Somnofit-S to my dentist at my most recent appointment after about a year of use, and he had no objections to me continuing to use it. It hasn’t had any kind of negative effect on my teeth or jaw, and I was a mild grinder before I started using it.5. You do need to put a little effort into getting the right fit, but I didn’t find the process difficult or overly time-consuming. Just read the full instructions before you boil and bite the upper and lower pieces. By the time I fit my second device the longest part of the process was the time it took to boil the water. It fits snug to my teeth and doesn't slip out during sleep.6. This is an affordable and reliable solution to snoring. I can confidently say it is a quality product and so I’m so grateful to have found it!!!!

I have to admit, I did try a bunch of the cheaper mouthpieces that are available here on Amazon before finally landing on the Somnofit-S.I even tried the thing that suctions onto my tongue to hold it during sleep. At best, those other products are mediocre choices that end falling out during the night or are just plain uncomfortable and end up in the nightstand drawer after a few uses.The Sonmofit-S was decidedly more expensive and I’m really glad I took the plunge to get it. I’ve been using it for over a year and it has comfortably reduced my snoring almost completely. The fitting process is very well described and leads to a solid fit that stays in all night and doesn’t interfere with breathing or make my jaw and teeth feel sore the next day. I started with the number 3 strap, but found that the number 5 provided the best results. It takes a couple nights to get used to, but once I started waking up less in the night and feeling more refreshed in the mornings, I can’t recommend it enough. I bought a second one to take with me when I travel and to have a backup in case I lose it. I won’t sleep without the Somnofit-S anymore. Customer service is second to none, as I had an issue while I was fitting it and I reached out to the owner to see if he had any tips, and he sent me a replacement the next day. If you’re ready for the best snore elimination sleep mouthpiece available, get this one. Restful sleep may be the most important investment you can make for yourself.
