Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We have just got back from our holiday on a lovely Greek Island. The views were amazing and I was so glad that I packed my folding binoculars. The binoculars proved to be a great success and added greatly to our enjoyment throughout the entire time. Unfortunately, there was constant competition over who was using them between my wife and me. I wear glasses and she does not and we were constantly refocussing and re-positioning them as we swapped from one person to the other. I decided that I was going to purchase another set of folding binoculars as soon as we got home. After a fair bit of research and review reading I decided to go for these Apeman 12x25 Compact Binoculars. My other binoculars are considerably more expensive and I decided to take a chance on these after reading the reviews.They arrived nicely packaged and come inside a soft carrying bag. Along with the binoculars, there is a lens cloth, a neck strap, a set of instructions and a warranty card. The neck strap needs attaching, but this is a very easy process, see the video.The binoculars are made of plastic, with a hard rubber exterior that provides a firm grip. I love the fact that the eye lenses do not have the usual rubber eye cups. They have adjustable eye pieces that can be extended or retracted by twisting the ends to accommodate people with or without glasses. No more folding over rubber eye cups – this is a real improvement over my more expensive binoculars. They will fit in most pockets, but in reality are a little too bulky.The centre focusisng wheel is a little loose, but not enough to cause a problem, there is enough friction there to keep it in position when you take your finger off. The folding action is fine with just the right amount of friction and the diopter adjustment is a little stiff, but in a good way.For me, 12x magnification is definitely better than the usual 8x or 10x, but this depends what your requirements are. I checked them against my more expensive set and could see no real difference in the sharpness or quality of the image. I was a little surprised by this as the price difference is significant, the more expensive set being 3 times the price. There is no doubt that the more expensive set is made to a much better standard, but there is no noticeable difference in the image quality, which is what we are interested in after all. The Apeman binoculars were also easier to use as I found getting a perfect circular image much easier with them. This has been an issue for me on the more expensive set.These binoculars represent excellent value for money. They are perfect for taking on holiday to admire the views, bird/wildlife watching and taking to concerts. They are small enough to be kept in a glove compartment or handbag. They take up hardly any space in your suitcase and if they get damaged, no big deal, just buy another pair. They are also ideal presents for kids as they will get a decent set of binoculars that do not cost a fortune. If you are looking for some good binoculars and do not want to spend much money, you will not go wrong with these.

These were the lowest price for the highest rated performance on Amazon. Reasonable quality, looks, grip and easy to use.Unless you have a lot of experience with optics, lenses and binoculars, don't expect to be wowed by these. They are small portable binoculars and they work, and the slightly better magnification for the cost hardly makes you fall over in surprise when you actually use them.I would suggest that the better magnification is a drawback in some ways for certain users, as identifying and fixing on your target is clearly going to be harder (and slower) with better magnification binoculars (also meaning the field of vision will be smaller the better the magnification)... Also any hand shake blurring vision will be worse..All worth considering if you are a bird watcher having limited time to view your target and wishing a rock steady view, for example.I doubt however there is that much difference comparing 12x magnification against, 10x however...A reasonable purchase delivered next day for nowt on Amazon Prime.

I have just moved to the countryside and have taken up a bit of twitching (never thought I would see the day). I had a pair of "freebies" handed to me but wanted something that gave me more depth. I researched and was prepared to spend a few hundred pounds but thought I cant go wrong buying these for sub £30 and I will see how much usage I get out of them. My friend was mad enough to cough up for a pair of Swarovski so he brought them round as a comparison. He was quite disgusted that he had spent well in advance of £1k on his and whilst his are better (much clearer), for the varying cost's conceded that mine do their job perfectly. Comes in a great little pouch for when you take them outdoors and are not heavy at all.I am no binocular expert so no doubt there will be better on the market however for the price, for me these are fantastic.

I wanted a sturdy, inexpensive good quality binoculars for a bat walk and this fit the bill perfectly. It can be handled easily by children which is part of the reason I wanted compact binoculars.It has a rubber covering which gives it a good grip and has a strap and carry case as well for ease of carrying. It also has an extremely handy pouch with a strap to attach to your belt (see picture).10x25 was sufficient for our needs with a bright and clear image and we have been trying to use it more to spot the birds in our park as well as the local fox.Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

The binoculars are great. I got these to use when travelling and sightseeing and I am really pleased as it is lightweight and easily portable which was just what I needed.It comes with a case for protection and a cleaning cloth to clean the lenses which is handy. It also has a strap to wear it around your neck and is easy for anybody to hold. These binoculars are well made, waterproof and easy to grip. The lenses are also high quality and you can see a magnified and clear view from far away. I recommend these.
