CAMEL CROWN 40L Lightweight Backpack Water Resistant Outdoor Sports Daypack with Rain Cover for Hiking Running Cycling Biking Climbing and Hunting

Purchased this backpack for my Costa Rica vacation in July 2018 and it's really lightweight, fits nicely but it is not waterproof as advertised. It's water resistant which is fine for what I needed it for (hiking, rainforest and cloud forest activities) but I purchased it so it would withstand camping and rainy situations.

The backpack has a stiff backing, so it sits nicely against your back without sagging. The waist strap is pretty key too - this is what separates this backpack from the others in this price range. I’d highly recommend this backpack.

Nice pack but small for me. It seems really well built and I like it a lot. However, the biggest issue I had is that the hip pads are too short and didn't even go over my hips. I'm 6'3, 205lb so for a shorter, smaller person that would probably not be any issue, but the pads being short, so it the pocket built into them. Too small to fit an iPhone 8. I was also surprised that the water bladder pocket didn't have a hook to hold it up. I also have a hard time believe that it's a 40L bag. My wife has an REI 40L bag and its taller and wider.

I got this bag in blue for my emergency go-bag. There are so many places to stash items! This makes it easy to organize and find items quickly - and the waist clip pockets are perfect for small items that you can grab on the go rather than dig through the whole bag. The side mesh pockets are deep enough that your water bottles won't fall out, and that's a nice change from most of the modern bags I've used. The quality is lovely, and the blue is a very pretty color (for what that's worth).

Thought it was like my Camelbak, but not the same. Way too difficult to get into the bag, zippers hidden by front pouch, no easy access. I return, hoping to get a camelbak like the one I had.

It might be OK for hiking. However I bought it for carrying my laptop and change while running (~5 miles) from work to home. It seems like the backpack itself is a bit heavy and not very comfortable during run. Had to detach the breathable back panel to make it lighter; it was disappointing that the waist belt is attached to it so if one wants to remove the back panel they will have no waist belt anymore

I ordered this pack for our cruise to use on all the excursions in Central America. Smartest choice I made the entire trip. It fit everything 2 people needed for single day excursions. It has multiple pockets and even a rain pouch. The best part, it fit perfectly and was incredibly comfortable wearing for 6-7 hours at a time. It also adjusted large enough for me and small enough for my partner.Great, great backpack.

Great pack for hiking!The large pouch on the back was convienent for my binoculars. The 2 waist pouches were nice, but too small for my iPhone 8+, though I suspect they would have fit an 8 just fine. There are also 2 side pouches large enough to fit water bottles up to 1 liter each. There is a laptop pouch inside, but I didn’t use it. I hiked for about 2 hours and I’m fairly trim, but the straps distributed the weight of the pack well and the pack itself is fairly lightweight.
