So addicting!!
I **LOVE** this game. I pre-ordered the digital code from amazon & I've got to say this game is amazing! I started playing pokémon with XY (mostly because my mom wouldn't let me play video games as a child & that's when my ex fiancé introduced me to them). But anyways, since playing y (my first pokémon game), I was hooked. I went back to diamond & purchased diamond, black and white, omega ruby & alpha sapphire and x. But in my opinion, sun/moon is the best one yet! I love the graphics, the story line, though it gets a tad confusing at times. I basically just enjoy the whole game :) I would highly recommend this to any pokémon fan

Middle aged, first Pokemon game and having a blast
As a 41 year old who has played games since he was a kid with an Atari 2600, I've had a lot of experience playing games. To this point, I've never picked up a Pokemon game, though, and never got into the Pokemon Go hype. This is fun. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that, but I'm enjoying myself quite a bit. I was a hardcore D&D nerd as a kid (I was any one of the kids from Stranger Things) and knew all the stats of every creature from the Monster Manuals. This game appeals to that same part of me. Run around, collect things, max stats, analyze battles, try strategies, etc.Since I've not had prior experience with Pokemon games, I can't compare this to previous versions. I will say that much of the dialogue is geared towards younger players (not surprisingly) and can be a little silly. I turn off my brain when that comes along and go with it. If you've not played Pokemon before, I can't guarantee this is the best game to get started with, but it has been an easy one for me to get started with and I'm having fun.

It's a Pokemon game. Of course you will love it.
Great game, but kind of different. It's not really in the same format as all the other Pokemon games. Sure, you pick your starting Pokemon from either a fire, leaf, or water type and go on an adventure across the landscape catching Pokemon like normal, but several things have changed.First off, you don't have Pokemon Gyms like every other game. You go through trials which, surprisingly, it pretty different that just going somewhere and defeating someone that is waiting for you. Your rival isn't really a rival since you are always ahead of him. And many of the Pokemon have taken on different types and traits because they have evolved on separate islands. So, many of the story elements of this Pokemon game is different. There are also a few practical differences. Little things improve the overall experience such as pressing Y to throw a Pokeball, or being able to take care of your Pokemon's status effects and effectively heal them without having to use a potion or go to a Pokecenter. Also, the ability to pet and take care of your Pokemon that they introduced in X and Y is back and although mostly useless (except for small things like getting extra experience, or stopping your Pokemon from fainting because they "love you") you can't help but get a little more attached to the little critters. As you can expect from Nintendo or Game Freak Pokemon Sun is a fun little romp through a new land with new creatures.

While it is another easy to embrace addition to the Pokémon family
As someone that has purchased and obsessively played every mainline (and several side) Pokémon games, I had to follow suit with this one. While it is another easy to embrace addition to the Pokémon family, I have to admit, this was not my favorite installment. It, honestly, felt a bit short. It felt as though there was more to be done before the game was intended to be finished, but this was the final product we were given regardless. Don't get me wrong, it is anything but a bad game, but I would argue that it isn't the best installment. Hopefully, there are updates waiting on the horizon to polish the experience off.

I wish the game would stop holding my hand all the damn time. Just let my play, I know how to get to the objectives.Bikes and HMs have been replaced by the riding system, which is fantastic. No more needing to take up move slots or carry around an HM bitch. The riding gear makes you look like a doofus however.Clothing has returned, which I like.OP exp share has returned, which I have mixed feelings about.Pokemon can be made more friendly which can cause then to remove status effects and score critical hits in battles. I don't know if this applys to online battles. Some great music, especially for team skull.Overall pretty good! Like the way things are moving!

Long over due! A MUCH NEEDED REPAIR
Highly addictive and a HUGE. Upgrade to the entire pokemon franchise. This game took all of what I thought was initially wrong with Pokémon and corrected it with a smooth, immensive, time consuming and mind blowing RPG. The Alolan region is a very huge and exciting place to explore. From the very beginning you are mesmerized by such an abundance of NEWLY DISCOVERED POKÉMON, as well as OLD POKÉMON SPECIES that got new features due to mutating resulting from changes to their original environment. I love Pokémon soooo much that I bought the Pokémon Sun digital version as well as the Amazon Exclusive STEEL BOOK VERSION CONTAINING A PHYSICAL COPY OF BOTH DISCS. OVERALL JUST AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE

Pokemon just got a much needed upgrade.
This game is a great example of the evolution of the Pokemon series. I've been playing since the beginning with Red and Blue. The changes and refinements to this generation make it feel modern. Subtle things such as the battle interface make the experience much more user-friendly. Even the fact that the walking paths aren't straight lines, and feel like something Zelda did 20 years ago, is a huge improvement. Whether you buy physical or digital, Sun or Moon, this is a great game overall. However, I would recommend playing on the New 3DS, as this seems to really push the older versions to their processing limits.
