Delicately sweet, tender and buttery. Addictive.
These are my first foray into the world of Maamoul after the GBBO. I have delicate gums and these are so gentle, they fall apart in your mouth and are buttery, so delicateThe thing I love the most is that as an American, I always disliked commercial overuse of 'sweet', so much so that these are delicious and I'm ordering two more boxes. This is how delicate sweet desserts are done.

Pistachio filled cookie
My 2nd order and can’t stop at just one cookie. The pistachio filling is delicious and overall, it’s the perfect tasting cookie. Not too sweet, just perfect! I will order again.

a disappointment in the maamoul box
apologies to be going over here knowing that this is a powerhouse in Lebanese sweets, but I ordered a box of mixed baklava and a box of the mixed maamoul. the baklava box has been open for few weeks and remains fresh with every piece, but just upon opening this one of Maamoul which has been sealed, i discover that one side of wrapped maamoul has signs of rotting, i suspect it is the pistachio section, as i opened the dates and walnut to try and seem ok?? left an email with this matter to the seller Al Bohsali 1870, as the date of inception says it, that is the best Sweet place in Lebanon and i was elated to be ordering it on Amazon? but that is disppointing!

Not as expected
Not as shown in picture at all. While the quality is good, it is definitely not a desert but rather a bread with some filling (unsweetened) inside. Wrapper is not as pictured either.

Not bad, Not bad at all
As far as I ha e had in the past, it's almost as good as my mother's when she use to make them in the Islamic festival after the month of Ramadan almost but not there. I don't think it will ever get there, nothing will measure up to my Mother's baking LOL

Good treat for someone who prefers things that aren’t very sweet
These came individually packaged in a lovely tin. They were soft, fresh, and tasted pretty good, but I would have preferred something slightly sweeter. These would be a good option for someone who prefers treats that are less sweet.

Amended review
The flavor was bland and dry until I gave it 20 seconds in the microwave and it was wonderful.Also the packaging showed serious concern for freshness and effort to avoid damage.
