Great blanket
These work great! i use them for many different things but mostly to help keep tents cooler in the summer when out camping. We have also used them under us to help us stay warmer in the cooler months when out camping. they work as they are intended to do. i continueously resupply us with these usually once a year and with proper care they last all year.

It reflects the heat
Have an infrared thermometer, which measured the temperature of the ceiling inside of my camp trailer, underneath where two of these tarps are placed on the roof, and the area on the ceiling where no tarp exist on the roof. The ceiling temperature underneath the roof where the tarps were placed was exactly the surrounding air temperature, the ceiling with no tarp was vastly hotter, 10 to 15 degrees hotter. So ordered more to cover the entire roof So great job keeping the heat out, however, there is a video which shows the tarp not holding up in strong winds, so modified the tarp. Bought some heavy weed eater line and wrapped it around the outer edge of the tarp and covered with Gorilla tape, then did a line across the middle to divide the longest length, added two grommets Used some cheap rope from the Dollar Store to tie down This whole modification adds about $7 and so far, has taken 35 mph wind gust and is holding up very well The reflective ability of the tarps are worth the cost in the reduced heat, the modification looks like it will allow them to last the summer, if not longer ADDITONAL COMMENT: Bought four tarps, wish had not added the weed eater line, it is not flexible and pulls out from under the duct tape, would use the Gorilla duct tape again and add the extra gourmet. The additional two gourmets are an absolute must These tarps have taken 45 mph wind gust and did not tear, some of the mylar is flaking but overall, it still does what it was intended to do, reflect the heat As of two days ago removed them from the roof of the camp trailer and it is amazing. Had experienced record setting heat for nearly 40 days and the inside temperature was on average, throughout the day, 6 degrees cooler than outside temperatures in the shade, up until the air conditioner was turned on when inside temperature reached 90% But now that the tarps are off the roofs inside temperatures matches outside temperature in the shade from early morning throughout the day for exactly the same time period 6 degrees is huge savings for how soon the air conditioner needs to be turned on, it is nearly a two-hour delay, since 27 days in August were 90 degrees or greater, a two-hour delay at ten cents per KW is not a lot of money, $5.40, but if we had not had record heat 111, and a normal year, it would have meant not turning the air conditioner on at all, that is the huge savings Am tempted to run this test with the same tarps next year, but for the cost and comfort will most likely buy four new tarps next year, it is worth it

but you can use them any outdoor activities as like hiking, camping
The size of this emergency blanket is 59 x 83 inches and weighs 1.4lb which is certainly light and compact. It is study blanket which is made with 4 layers of PE, polyester mesh and mylar, it is waterproof, also windproof with heat retention. I had been thought about preparing emergency kits in my car just in case of emergency, but you can use them any outdoor activities as like hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, skiing, ect because this blanket could be used to prevent you getting too hot, or too cold. use them as rain coat, or tent, or gournd cover. OR you can use them as an liner of your sleeping bag if you want to be warm,(raised temperature or keep your body temperature)in cold weather. It is an actual gear, not like thin emergency blankets that tear easily. Rolling the blanket in small and carry them in your survival bag, or first aid kits. this could be your life saver in emergency situation.

Smaller than expected
I think I like this thing....It's pretty small but did work well as a simple rain tarp to cover my chair. I'm not entirely certain I actually noticed a difference in warmth from this versus a traditional tarp-- nonetheless, it's a staple in my camping gear bin now and I'll keep trying it in different position to see how to best use it's advertised capability. I'm not UNhappy with the purchase, but I haven't yet been convinced it was worth all the hype.

Well made and great performance
I originally bought two of these for a rather non-standard purpose. My dogs live on our screened in porch. During the winter, they have Kane heating pads in their cage (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FW1S3GU/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_D54H9H0YFBSZ6W7WJ351?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ), but I typically cover them with heavy duty canvas tarps (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082P75Q6R/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_2SWZ32346QHR2ATMGRTR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ) and the crates consistently stay a very comfortable temperature. I realized that a reflective cover would provide even better resistance without so many layers. Enter this product. I bought one for each crate, and was extremely pleased with the results. On average, the kennels were about 3 to 5 degrees warmer than they had been. Because of their compact size, I decided to buy two additional ones that I have kept in my truck - in case of some winter emergency. While the color is not my favorite, the quality of stitching is apparent. They have stayed supple and have not aged like some plastics can which is another reason I believe these are well worth the cost. The dogs love their kennels and being outside, when I tried to move them inside their first winter, they howled all night long, so back to the porch. I am forever worried about them and keep a Sensor Push temperature sensor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AEQ9X9I/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_587XV2CQJEN6Z8HVBADV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) which i have programmed to alert me if their crate temperatures get either too hot or too cold. It also provides a graph of performance on the app. The results that the addition of these emergency blankets is evident. Whether it is for camping, for dogs, or for emergencies, I highly recommend these and will definitely buy these again in the future.

Extremely hot reflector
I bought this for a tan reflector and it gets so hot that I have to scoot away so it's definitely a good heat reflector.

Worth to buy
I have lots of survival gears in my garage, my car, and bug out bag for those“just in case”scenario. Bought this again as a gift to my friend who’s really into the wilderness like me. I bought 11 last time. This is really a jack-of-all-trades item, I mean you can use it not only for emergencies, like keep you warm while camping, make it a makeshift shelter during an emergency or lay it under the tent or sleeping bag, but also a versatile tarp for daily uses. For me I always tuck it on the windshield to reflect the heat, the sun could get really brutal sometimes. EDIT: Just noticed a review saying the grommets are ripped off. I’ve been using this kinda blanket from many brands, Grabber, SOL, SE, UST, you name it. Well, this utool blanket holds up the same as Grabber, better than UST, SOL. But, all of them have this issue, don’t count on them to hold off a tornado if you know what I mean. My suggestion is wrapping it around you instead of tying it using the grommets if the wind gets really big.

The best I've found
I've been backpacking in the mountains and deserts of the western United States for over 45 years. For 18 of those summers, I worked as a survival instructor and backcountry guide. This is the best combination thermal blanket/tarp I've found so far. However, you need to use a little common sense and not expect magic out of it or any other space blanket. None of them are going to be a "stand-alone" sleeping bag that is going to keep you warm if it is even the least bit cold. On top of that, most of them do NOT breathe. And I can promise you that you're going to wake up damp if you wrap yourself in one. The UTOOL Ultra Emergency Blanket is no different. It too is not magic but it is built tough enough to make a great ground cloth, light enough to carry on your pack and the reflective side holds the heat better than most IF, .... you wrap it around your sleeping bag. Although I've never done it, the tarp is large enough and waterproof so you should be able to build several different types of one-man shelters with it if you had to. But once again, it isn't magic and it will not replace a good tent. I would think that it would also make a decent signaling device in the event of an emergency. All in all, I'm happy with what I got

Good size.
I bought this because of its forest green color as I didn't want signal orange. I wish there was an eyelet in the middle of each side as well or even better two. The emergency blanket feels firm and good.

Better than expected.
Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Very well made and thicker than I was expecting.

As described. More of a groundsheet than a space blanket.
Accidentally ordered two, but the quality is such that I am inclined to keep both. One now lives in the car boot - I would say it is quite heavy and bulky for a solo hiker/camper to carry, but it appears robust enough for a groundsheet or high-vis tarp.
