Hatch Mild Diced Green Chilies, 4 oz

These canned diced green chilies are a must-have in my kitchen! They add a nice, subtle heat and a boost of flavor to tacos, soups, casseroles, and eggs. The texture is great—soft but not mushy—and they blend easily into recipes. I like that they come pre-diced, which saves prep time. They’re not super spicy, so they work well even for people who don’t love a lot of heat. One minor downside is the small can size—I always seem to need two. I LOVE LOVE LOVE hatch chilies. I like just a bit of spice. Jalepeno is too hot for me. I want complex flavor and a bit of heat. I just found out about the New Mexico pepper, hatch chili peppers. I LOVE THEM! They have this nice complex flavor with a mild to maybe a bit more than mild heat. I have bought so many things made from hatch peppers (flakes, powder, and these canned ones). They are great for making chili and other dishes if you don't like much hotter things.

Great item I always like to have in the pantry. I bought on Amazon the 1st time to meet my minimum order amount. Sometimes not on the store shelf, so it's great to have a couple on hand.

If you haven't tried Hatch brand green chiles you are in for a treat. Supermarket brands just don't have that certain something that Hatch brand has. Try these and you'll see.

I added these to a can of diced tomatoes and made a very simple salsa. They are delicious, taste very fresh, and I serve it over tostadas, tacos, and bean burritos. Sometimes I serve my mixture over scrambled eggs..

A day without Hatch green chili is like a day without sunshine. Seriously. Just stay in bed. Otherwise, this is the clear choice. Like most other people, I watch my spending, but this is one brand that I am deservingly loyal to & and have been for years. Yeah, I've tried them all. They're okay, but Hatch is the best. I alternate between the mild and the hot depending on the dish.
