M & S SYSTEMS DS-3B Door Intercom Station with Bell Button

Super easy to install. Perfect size replacement for the original. The original was brass,this one is plastic. However,cost much less. The speaker is clear plastic (mylar) which is great for long-life outdoors. I plan to paint the grille gold after a few months to match the existing door hardware(brass). Very good product. I am happy with it !

I used this to replace an inoperative door bell/speaker from an M&S system that was installed in 1994. It fit perfectly in the existing front door bell/speaker box. As others have said you have to remove a small cover to attach the wires to the door bell-no big deal. It took me 15 minutes to install with an extra set of hands to help. The lit bell is nice and the speaker sounds very clear. I'm very happy with this purchase an I'd buy again.

I replaced two different M & S door panels with these. In both cases, the new faceplates were slightly smaller than the original, leaving an unpainted border around it. The attaching screws that came with the new plates are of poor quality. If your original screws are still good, use them or predrill the holes so the new ones don't need to be torqued much - one of mine broke off. Otherwise, both new panels worked great and were easy to install.

My husband had no problem with installing into our outside wall for our Condo. It was a good size & he had to touch up the paint where the old one was. It works perfectly & we are so glad we ordered it.

I was needing to replace the door unit of an old residential Nutone intercom (IS68 of an IK25 system). This new speaker and button are a much better looking unit than the original.Making it work required removing the light bulb from the lighted button, and soldering in two capacitors to the 2-wire circuit. Then, a little bit of maneuvering to install the unit into the existing opening in the wall.All worthwhile. The added cost was essentially zero, using the capacitors from the old speaker. Quick and reasonably easy update to save with my old intercom system.Like the look MUCH more than the old Nutone!

Very happy with this intercom doorbell. I purchased it to replace my old one. It fit perfectly. Still doesn't come with any directions. Happy I read previous reviews, which explained exactly how to install it. Works and looks great.

I bought a house built in 89 and I think the intercom system was original. Wired this thing up and it worked perfectly with the existing intercom system. The only trick was to figure out the buttom combinations to push to get the "listen" and "talk" functions to work on the base station. Also, the added bonus which I did not anticipaet was that the screw holes actually perfectly lined up with the old system. I couldn't have been more lucky with this purchase.

Fast delivery easy to install even there is no instructions attached. But the problem was after a month of using the led light burned out already.

I wanted an intercom, and I received a speaker screwed on a perfored piece of plastic and a lighted button.

Condition looks good but unit crackles and intercom does not function. I have yet to determine if the wiring is correct as the colours are different than my original M&S system.
