Excellent
This product is in excellent condition on arrival. I was also surprised to see there was a media disc included. It took a lot of the work out of finding what software to use being the novice that I am.

Works fine, displays data and errors for 2001 E46
I used BimmerGeeks Standard Tools on a Windows 10 VM on my Dell 5530 laptop running Ubuntu Linux and this cable. Setup was pretty straightforward (using BimmerGeeks 'Install Instructions.txt' file) and was able to connect after a little experimenting. Did not have much luck with the included software disk. The cable switch did not seem to matter on this setup for the E46 (2001 BMW 330Ci), but ended up with the switch to the left looking at the plug with the cable at the bottom. You get some error messages from the software which can be ignored, these threw me at first thinking it was the cable, but turns out things like language or version errors can be ignored, and if you see "no controller response" it means that the part doesn't exist, nothing wrong with the cable. I was able to successfully diagnose, replace and verify the DSC module on my car.Using the software, my engine is an M54 but I had to select M43 since M54 was not an option. For the DSC I selected Chassis, then DSCMK60. Press F1 for info, F4 for errors, and F5 to drill down to wheel sensors, DSC (steering angle, yaw rate, etc) and so on. Some nifty information there from the sensors while driving is pretty cool. All in all, not the greatest software, especially with the annoying language and version errors, but it's usable. Cable is fine, works as advertised and seems to be well made. Would recommend getting it.

worked great to reflash ECM on 03 Range Rover (BMW motor)
I bought a Range Rover with only 90k miles for 800$ but they couldnt get it started. It turns out the BMW immobilizer on that model will allow crank but it prevents spark AND fuel from working. The dealer wanted 1200$ to reflash and I called a "mobile locksmith" who wanted to tow it to his shop and charge 1000$ to fix it. I used a guide from a BMW tuners forum and with this cable I was able to locate the code using a Hex editor and 00 it out, essentially deleting the immobilization process. It started right up after the reflash. So for a 30$ cable I was able to do it myself lol.
