I LOVE this silicone mat! I have used silicone mats for years to line cookie sheets and bake bread, but I had never used one to roll out pie crust or pizza dough. However, I was recently visiting a family member and helping to cook pizza and cream pies when she brought out this mat. I was amazed at how easily and accurately I was able to roll out dough, and to get it into a pan without having it stretch out of shape. Just roll out the pizza or pie dough to the measurements, put the pan on it, flip it, and peel off the mat! I ordered one for myself and have been using it ever since (last night for margherita pizza). The mat is easy to clean, but it takes a little practice to keep from sending water all over the place because it is so big. I find that if I keep it partially rolled while rinsing it, the water shedding is kept to a minimum. That is a small inconvenience, though, for the nice size of it. It is also a bit challenging to store because it shouldn't be folded, but I find that if I wrap it around my French rolling pin, it doesn't take up any extra space in the drawer. I'm sure that I will find additional uses for it when I have had it for a little longer time. The price is also reasonable, considering the size and quality. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this mat to anyone who likes to cook at home from scratch.
