GownTown Women's 1950s Vintage Dresses Cap Sleeves Cocktail Stretchy Dresses with Pocket

Got this for a wedding where I needed to wear blush, and was really happy about the dress: the silhouette is beautiful (shown here with the TUTUKIDS Women Tutu Tulle Skirt 50s Vintage Knee Length Wedding Adult Puff Underskirt Petticoat), I like the cut of the back and the sleeves, and the stretchiness helps with the fit. I'm a 44-36-48 and 5'3" and the XL was perfect, hitting me right at the knee. Do be aware that the blush is fairly see-through on top! The dress is not made of the highest-quality material (I didn't expect it to be, at this price), but it's very well made.A note on care: it arrived wrinkled enough that my steamer was just not cutting it, so I ironed (maybe not a brilliant idea) it, but didn't notice at first I had my iron up fairly high. I now have a iron-shaped mark on the back of the skirt! Fortunately it wasn't super visible because of the way the skirt hangs, but if you're going to iron, keep it on a low heat!

I have bought a lot of these 50s fit and flare dresses (they look good on *every* body shape!), probably 15 of them. This one is quite nice and I look forward to wearing it.I bought the dark blue dot pattern. It's a good quality fabric, thinnish but feels sturdy and thick enough to wear without several layers of slips for modesty. The skirt is full enough to hang well over a crinoline slip but will also look good alone.There are pockets! And they're a decent size - big enough for pack of tissues or a car key.I'm a 38c, 5'6", and 140 lb. I bought a large and it fits well throughout the bodice. Doesn't pucker or gap. The cap sleeves are quite nice. They look better, lay flatter, and don't cut into the arm as much as others I've tried in this style. The band at the waist is a very nice touch - I've got one other dress with the band and it's my favorite. (It's something I look for, as it keeps the waist from bunching oddly and keeps the fit nice without use of a belt. I'm glad to have found it again in a good fabric pattern.)All in all, this looks to be a winner. Yay!

This dress fit perfect. It has a bit of a stretch to it so it fits comfortably. I wore it for a Halloween costume and received compliments all day. As the other reviews have suggested it needs a petticoat, I wore 2. And, to top it off, it has pockets! Only complaint is it took a long time to get the wrinkles out.

Color: different than product shown, but I was hoping it would be brighter. Size: perfect, very stretchy material. Did not feel uncomfortable at all. I'm 5 foot, which the dress is long on me but I wanted it longer. I typically wear size 18 pant, size XL shirt. I bought this to dress as Louise Belcher from Bob's Burgers. I think it was perfect for what I was wanting.

I LOVE this dress! The fabric is medium weight and stretchy so it's very comfortable and hangs nicely without being clingy. I am 5'8" and the dress length hits me just below the knee. My bust is 40D and the bodice fits perfectly with no gapping fabric anywhere. My waist is 42". (I'm usually size 18-20 depending on the brand). I bought an XXL and the fit is perfect. I will say that because of the fabric, this dress would easily be a perfect fit for someone slightly larger or even smaller than I am. I don't know what this fabric is called, but I love it! I have a hard time finding a good fit because I am pear-shaped. If it fits in the waist and hips, it's usually huge in the bust. But this fabric fits all your curves in a very flattering way. You can't go wrong buying it. If you don't like it, you just take it to any Khols Store (or other Amazon drop). You don't even need to repackage it. They just scan it and you get your refund! What could be easier?

I love these GownTown dresses. The full skirt look is very flattering for someone like me with a pear shape. Follow the size chart and you'll be happy with your purchase. I bought this style in light blue and in green. The green, as you can see, is not a pastel mint green, but a lime green. The color is even more vibrant in real life than you see in my picture. The light blue in real life is the same as GownTown's image, kind of what I'd call a Disney Cinderella blue.

This dress fits great and the pockets are big and fit my phone and small wallet and lipstick for the party. The bit of stretch to the dress makes it really comfortable around curves.

I ordered the dress above in light blue called cap sleeve stretchy with pockets in a size small. I received a dress that is nothing as described. It is a dark royal blue, size XS, there are no pockets and it even has a tie back neckline which is not what I ordered. Clearly they either have ignorant people working for them and just throw anything with a similar description in the package or they purposely sell things with inaccurate descriptions. This is not the first time I’ve ordered things from amazon and received something different and it is extremely frustrating. I thought based on the many good reviews that this would be a positive experience but apparently amazon’s quality of sellers is very low. I will not be purchasing clothing anymore on their site.
