Deck Designs: Deck, Pergolas, Railings, Planters, Benches

I was so excited to use this book while I designed my back deck this fall. Great photos and building tricks and tips from different designers and builders. Photos provide ideas for how to customize your own plans for benches or steps or a pergola. Very helpful. This book will be loaned out many times over for friends and family, I'm sure.

The book had a lot of really interesting designs and nice illustrations but more importantly, it has instructions. The book shows how to create the intricate details on the posts, how bend a board ... very informative.

This book helped fuel my imagination. Most useful were the design techniques scattered throughout.

I built a pergola and was expecting a lot more info and pictures of them.
