i see other testers around less then $100 that do +25mW from the product page it states <1.3 mW output power, is this accurate?

The output power level listed on the device is < 1.3 mW; wavelength 630-670 nm; class II laser product. I will tell you that the device works very well across great distances. The light source is very strong so it may be a combination of power level and wavelength that make it work well. Also we use a lot of Fluke devices and find them to be very reliable although a bit more expensive.

How far will this device test. can i test a 15km or 20 km length of fiber with it
