Does the Apple Pencil still charge if it’s in the pen loop?

In order to charge, the Apple Pencil must be magnetically connected to the iPad. If it’s just in the elastic loop flopping around and not in magnetic contact with the iPad it will not charge.

Llevo ya casi un año con esta funda, de en medio se dobla por dentro pero lo demás es Perfecto me gusta mucho elegí la azul y no se ve nada chafa aunque es barata. Se para en varias posiciones eso me gusta, también me gusta la Banda que trae atrás y agarra muy bien el Apple Pencil. Por lo que cuesta es perfecta. Vi varias opiniones pero no me quedaba claro si no se veía chafa y no se ve :)
