When made the purchase for the class it came with a downloaded version but wanted a book to make notes and tag. The offered the same book double the price found here almost half the price. Review: Covered everything I needed to know! - I purchased this book to take one of the open-book certification exams with the Council of Six Sigma Certification (CSSC). The book made it a breeze! For anybody looking to save money, instead of getting this specific book they can just get one of these free self-study guides directly from their website. They have a different training guide broken-down for each belt level (Black Belt, Green Belt, Yellow Belt, White Belt, etc.) They are shorter ebooks, but still appear to have everything you would need to pass the open-book exams. Since I would rather have the full edition on my Kindle, spending a couple dollars more was easily worth it. That said, I did notice that the kindle version had a couple minor font issues (I don't think the Kindle can reproduce the sigma symbol). However, this really isn't a big deal considering that the Kindle version is practically free. I will probably also buy the paperback version since I prefer the feel of a physical text book (easier to flip from section to section). This is a very thorough book, highly recommended.

Very helpful for new learner
After deciding to try to self study Six Sigma and finding the ebook hard to make notes or highlights for my reference, I got the paper version. It's been great. Easy to read and understand though the index could use some work and I would have liked more information other than chapter titles in the table of contents. Editing could use some touchups for next edition, but overall worth what I spent.

Color Charts... Printed in Black and White.
Great reference book. Mostly goes along with the online training program I am enrolled in. However my major gripe is the book is printed in black and white, which is fine for the words, less so for the charts, which were obviously created with color in mind. They even reference the different color objects... But which is which? That might be important to know.

Required Title Review
If you want to impress your boss, terrify your coworkers with control charts, and find joy in eliminating 0.0001% of waste, this is your book.

No problems, only solutions
The binding and page orientation was at it should be in a hard back. No dents, dings, or fading. So far only one page had a text spacing issue but that's negligible. The is a slight bleed through for highlighting (I use Mr. Pen) but not distracting on the next/previous page. The pages are regular type paper you would use in an Inkjet or Laser printer (not Bible thin, not slick). So writing/highlighting in the book is easy and non-smearing. My video may show "sticky" pages but that's only due to the new-ness; there is no page tearing or glue issues upon checking the said "sticky" pages. I appreciate the book quality and look forward to soaking it all in from White Belt to Black Belt certification (HI-yah!)!

OK at Best
This book is five years old and needs a rewrite. Terms are introduced in the text without explanation. Some grammatical issues. Would expect more from a Six Sigma product. That being said this is a very complete reference for anyone heading down the Six Sigma path.

Don't buy this book. I returned it back to Amazon. The table of contents is all messed up. For example, it says advanced Minitab section and when you go to it, it contains chapters that have nothing to do with Minitab. Also, case studies are very narrow, feels like its been written by a high school student, not by a true professional.

This is a great book for learning Six Sigma from basic to advanced. There are many examples, tables and graphs in the book to make the points easier to understand. The book print quality is good and the font size is ideal. There are occasional errors in the text but they do not interfere with the read. Recommended!

This is a well written book and it provides sufficiently deep examples to illustrate all the main concepts. The recurring structure of hypothesis tests is useful to reinforce the various methods and their strength (and limitations). A variety of sectors that benefit from the Lean Six Sigma approach are introduced and analysed to highlight benefits as well as challenges. Personally, this is the book I would recommend every LSS enthusiast, practitioner and expert to have at hand as a single introductory reference as well as one to read before taking the Green/Black Belt exam.
