I received my Veikk A30 tablet this week, delivery was extremely fast (and free for Amazon Prime members!). The box design had me excited from the get go, tells you what you need to know in terms of report rate speed (250 RPS), Lines per inch (5080 LPI), levels of pressure sensitivity (8192) and size 10”x6” all of which are particularly impressive given the low price of the tablet. On opening the box, all components were well packaged with the tablet itself on immediate view with the accessories tidily stored underneath. You get; • A30 tablet • Battery free stylus pen with two hot key buttons • Type C USB adaptor cable • Nib replacement tool with spare nibs • Quick start guide Handling the tablet it feels light, looks extremely sleek and barely thicker than my smart phone. I was thrilled to find that it fit comfortably inside one of my padded laptop bag compartments although I can see the benefit of buying a tablet pouch to protect it rather than leave it on my desk inbetween uses. Setup was surprisingly straightforward and devoid of some of the language issues I’ve encountered when installing other Chinese gadgets. The tablet is powered via the USB cable so no need to charge it for first time use and plugging it into my Windows 10 laptop launched the setup utility. After a reboot, the utility launched on startup to enable me to set the hot key settings. Even though by default the stylus is set to work as a pen rather than a mouse, hovering the stylus over the tablet, without making contact gained immediate control of the mouse cursor. By default the primary stylus hot key was set to right mouse click but this was quickly changed to left mouse click whilst I configured the tablet and got used to using the stylus. The position of the stylus hotkeys and moving the cursor when hovering above the tablet takes a bit of getting used to but very quickly I stopped looking at the tablet and was navigating the software just from looking at my screen. In addition to the two hot keys on the stylus, there are an additional 4 hot keys on the tablet that you can tailor to input your most frequently used settings in your sketching software. Within 10 minutes of opening the box, I was already using the stylus to sketch directly into photoshop. If I had one criticism, the stylus feels a little light and could do with being heavier but that’s probably a personal preference. I would also love to see a stylus holder mounted on the tablet itself, I can see myself spending time hunting for this in future! I want to spend a few weeks using the tool in earnest and complete a full drawing project before I can really comment on how the tablet has helped my creative process but on first impressions the VEIKK A30 appears to be a well designed quality product, simple to use with very good performance specs for an amazing price. Highly recommended.

I’m so excited to bring you guys a review of the new Veikk A15 drawing tablet. They recently reached out to me and asked I look at their product and I have to say I am pretty pleased with it. It arrived super quickly via Amazon, the box was a touch damaged but this is down to Amazon and not Veikk. Box was clean with all information that you needed, the clean graphics of the box gave me this kind of ports car vibe. I dunno why. I got the version that came with a glove, which is a lil snug on my hand so if you’ve got larger hand it might not fit comfortably, it was just right for me and I’ll be using it over my wacom glove. As well as the glove, inside the box you’ll find replacement nibs, there are only one type of nibs from what I can see on their website which is the former plastic ones. The pen, the usb power cable and of course the tablet. First things first, the pen. It was a really nice size, it’s also a non rechargeable pen so no worries about it not working suddenly because it needs a charge up. However I found it a bit light, this is probably just because the pen to my other tablet is heavy and I’ve grown used to that. This is something that can be eased with a pen sleeve so is only one small issue. The power cable is honestly pretty cool, there is so wrong way to plug it in, so regardless of if you’re right or left handed it’ll be out of your way. The tablet itself was bigger than I pictured inside my head, with a 10x6 in work are. There are 12 configurable buttons, I admit I was a bit stupid and honestly thought the red circle was a dial of some kind. Should have seen me spend 30 minutes trying to work out why I couldn’t program zoom to it. I should have read everything first, speaking of the dial comes in four colours I believe? Black, gold, blue and red. The work area has a papery texture, but not overly textured giving a natural drawing feel. Now onto the main part. Installing was a lil bit of a pain for me, the drivers were easy to find on the website. However the first time I installed they didn’t take. It wasn’t til I realised I needed to uninstall my pre-existing tablet drivers that they finally worked. I use mainly Paint tool sai 2 and Clip Studio Pro. Despite my earlier worries of the pen being too light and causing me issues, it didn’t, in fact I was able to draw for a good few hours before wrist pain kicked in and I needed a break, the wrist pain isn’t something I can blame on the tablet either, if you’ve got healthy joints and stretch before drawing I don’t see it being an issue. I LOVE, LOVE the sensitivity on this tablet, like I can not express how happy I was while drawing. The sensitivity and pressure was fluid, there were no big jumps in brush size. I’m very heavy handed with my pens and I rarely get those subtle movements. I hate to say it though, but the pressure on this might be better than my $600+ tablet that I use daily. I really enjoyed drawing with this, it took a lil time to get used to drawing on it as my currently tablet has been a digital screen tablet, it’s been three or four years since I last used my bamboo. I also want to add their tech support was spot on. I had issues getting the tablet to work with Clip Studio pro, my main art program, if I had dual monitors. We sat down over teamviewer and troubleshooted. It was an easy fix but they were great and kept in contact with me the whole time. (If you get this problem just switch which monitor is 1 and 2) The TLDR; Basically if you’re starting out or professional I’d recommend this tablet, it’s affordable, well made and great to work with. Pros Affordable. At £45.99 currently I can’t fault the price. Professional Quality Looks great Amazing to draw with Cons Pencil is a little light weight for me.

Arriving in a modern package is the Tablet, pen, a tool for changing the pens nib, spare nibs, a USB C to USB cable and a quick start guide. Everything was of a high build quality and downloading the software was painless enough. Setup was fantastically easy all the way through. Plugging in the A30 and waiting for Windows10 to sort out the drivers meant that the only reason to go to the Veikk website was to download the proprietary software. It's worth doing this step though as it does allow the extra features to really work wonders. A graphics tablet essentially works like a mouse but with the added ability to detect the pen pressure, essentially acting as a click for various pressures. The pen with the A30 has a right click button and a third click button, both can be assigned different functions using the software. Once you fire up a compatible painting program it works incredibly well. You can easily dab, light strokes and stronger marks with ease. With Clip Studio the default option for these buttons are access to the colour picker and to switch between pen and eraser. It's fantastic for a beginner and I found myself barely needing to tinker with any settings to feel comfortable drawing, painting or colouring away. The A30 has a panel on the left (or right if you flip it) side that has numerous touch buttons and a square touch panel that reads motions. What this means in practice is that you can easily zoom into your artwork, hold a button to drag and use the pen all in tandem. The tablet only detects the pen pressure on the drawing area and touch pressure on the smooth button and motion area. It doesn't detect your hand so you can rest it easily while applying different pressures with the pen. What more is there to say? It does what it says on the box. The pen is an interesting accessory when used with a PC. It doesn't require batteries and there was no way to charge it but it does have the ability to change the nib and you pull it open without too much grief. All in all the A30 is surprisingly versatile with Windows10 and I found I could easily play Civilization 6 and switch music tracks or shift around the screen apps. There was a couple of issues with some apps that aren't designed for a graphics tablet so you will still need a mouse and keyboard, albeit very rarely. The A30 graphics tablet is exactly what it says it is. A really well made, functional graphics tablet that allows you to make your sketches on the screen with minimal fuss. It's a little strange the pen has functionality with no charge or batteries but it's worked flawlessly for the time I've spent using it. If you want to pick up a tablet and get creative, the A30 is a great one to get.

Upon arrival the tablet was boxed extremely well, the packaging was perfect and it came with a lot of helpful additional pieces like extra nibs, even protection for the tablet pen itself which is rarely considered by most tablet brands which I personally adored to see and a drawing glove to use with the tablet itself. I have a ganglion on my drawing wrist so having a drawing glove accompanied with a tablet is always helpful in ensuring protection of my wrist and hand while doing my job. I also really enjoyed the fact this tablet came with a USB-C cable input since this is more efficient and I do hope to see other tablets follow in its footsteps. There are a lot of helpful shortcut keys already embedded into the tablet itself which I really adore because the choices for the shortcuts are ones often used by artists like myself (e.g. CTRL-Z, etc.). So you can tell the creator of this tablet understood the target audience this was going for. The tablet’s shape, I believe is underrated. I’ve seen a lot of tablets go for the size of height being a priority taking up most of my space, but this tablet actually focuses more on width which makes it easier to use with a multi-purpose computer and even more relaxing to see on the desk in contrast to a tablet which I feel could be ‘over-sized’. This tablet is definitely at a perfect size and very comfortable to move around and use. I’ve been very comfortable using this tablet to do my freelancing work. It has been comfortable, convenient and very capable with the tasks I have to perform while doing my job. This tablet is extremely well for the price-range it has. I’d definitely recommend Veikk in the future to other artistic-loving friends as well as even family. I’ve already discussed it with some family members who are passionate about art and they’ve even seemed interested despite being the hard-to-convince type! I’d likely buy from this brand in the future myself. We as artists sometimes do struggle in finding a tablet but I even believe if beginner artists use this tablet, they’ll become very easily adapted to shortcuts which can be beneficial to know as an artist – So learning this earlier on will be a miracle-sent for some! Perfect condition, delivered rather quickly and with ease. Definitely worth more than what’s priced for it.

I’ve become quite the fan of Veikk tablets. Last year I purchased the A15 for the office and was impressed with the quality/functionality for the price – I now wanted a new tablet for the home office, so once again, after searching online and looking at all the tablets now on offer by various brands such as XP-Pen, Huion etc (not forgetting Wacom – they are just more expensive!), I decided to once more give Veikk a spin – this time it’s the A30… The box contains the usual suspects: Tablet (obviously!), Pen, USB-C cable, spare nibs (& extractor tool), instruction manual and a ‘Thank you for purchasing this tablet’ card which, on reverse, gives you a link where to download the drivers (no more CD’s!). It’s not clear exactly what the guarantee is on this, but there are contact details listed for the Veikk website – plus, if you’re not happy and/ or the product is faulty, I guess you can simply return to Amazon etc… After unplugging my older, smaller tablet and un-installing the drivers, I plugged in the A30, went to Veikks website and downloaded/installed their drivers (interestingly, their drivers are a ‘one size fits all’ type – all their tablets run off the same drivers and are automatically detected). The tablet itself has a nice large 10”x6” drawing area – it really does seem huge compared to my old skool Wacom Bamboo 6”x4” I was still using! It’s quite thin (9mm), but feels very sturdy and well built – it’s very light and can be easily chucked into a laptop bag etc… It’s nice to see USB-C being used – its ‘looks’ a lot neater and takes up less room on my already cramped workspace (plus you don’t have to go through that ritual of ALWAYS plugging in a USB the wrong way around first…!) 😊 OK – test time… On the left side of tablet is a glossy vertical ‘strip’ which is where the touch-pad sits and four programmable ‘touch key’s (or ‘buttons’). I found using the touch pad was great in Photoshop etc – swiping up/down zoomed in/out of the canvas accordingly – similarly, swiping left/right increased/decreased the brush size too – a great timesaver when drawing/designing against an impending deadline – it all helps! One thing I noticed was that if used in a nice bright environment, the touch keys were easier to see – if you sit in a darker room/office, you can’t actually see them as well as they are flush with the tablet surface i.e. they aren’t raised or recessed… they do actually light up blue when accessed – it’s a shame you haven’t the option in the software to keep them on permanently (like a backlit keyboard), but it’s not really a deal breaker – you’ll get used to it as you use the tablet more… The pen is nice and light and doesn’t require charging! Still not sure what type of magic is used for this(!), but it feels nice to use and has the usual two buttons – one for ‘right-click’ mouse functionality the other for using the pen as an ‘eraser’ (or ‘rubber’ as we say in the UK! 😊) – as with the touch keys, you can re-assign them in the software to suit the way you work… It has 8192 levels of ‘pressure sensitivity’ – not sure how many levels I used to create the illustration accompanying this review, but I was able to produce a nice tapered stroke… Overall, for just £46, this tablet does everything I wanted at a great price… drawing feels smooth and the touch pad works really well - it’s also a nice looking tablet to have on my desk! Veikk are a fairly new player in the graphics tablet market AFAIK, but based on my experience with what they have produced so far, they really are great value for money – more competition is always good for us designers and/or the end-user – I look forward to using more of their tablets in the future! As someone who does digital art quite a lot, I have particular tastes when it comes to graphics tablets, and know what sort of thing to look for. The Veikk A15 surpassed my expectations. The design is sleek and straight forward, with the command buttons being laid out perfectly to my non-sketching hand, and being able to program them for keyboard shortcuts is a massive help, particularly saving on having to press "Ctrl-Z" or "Ctrl-Shift-N", which means having to put down the tablet and disrupting the flow. The driver is easy to acquire, install, and I was ready to draw within minutes with a very simple and intuitive software, which allows me to map the commands I need very easily, especially being able to switch between pencil and eraser functions at the touch of a button, which is so much better than many other tablets that either lack this function, or rely on a rear pressure sensor on the pen which is prone to jamming or not functioning as intended. But what really sells me on the tablet is the compatibility with portable devices. I have been looking for sometime for a drawing tablet that works with my tablet PC, so I can sketch whilst away from my desk, and some have unfortunate issues with interface, size, or having an arbitrary restriction on work space when connected to handheld devices. The Veikk A15 works reliably with my work tablet, and I am looking forward to when convention season rolls up, and this will give me the freedom to work away from my desk. If you're someone who is looking not just for a reliable tablet, but a good one on a budget, look no further.

My VEIKK A15 tablet arrived quickly and in a neatly packaged & professional box, which when opened gave a great first impression and really showed the thought that has gone into the presentation and branding of these VEIKK products. Everything was packed extremely well with sections for all the included accessories to sit in. The tablet itself was securely packaged in a cellophane bag with a drawing glove included also. The tablet feels light but sturdy... a refreshing feel for a lower priced model such as this one, as the majority of tablets by other brands feel plastic and cheap, but this shines from the moment you un-pack it. The pen included is light, feels great in the hand and doesn't require batteries so straight out of the box you are ready to go. Setting the tablet up on my MAC was quick and easy with no problems, once the driver is installed you are pretty much ready to go, just ensure that you un-install any drivers that are on your computer from previous tablets, there is a start up guide also included as well should you require any help during the set up process. Once you are all installed, you can customize the 12 shortcut keys along the side for any actions you require, this is brilliant and allows you to program the tablet how you wish...you also can modify monitor setup to suit your workflow. The pen itself has two buttons that can be programmed like the tablet shortcut keys, this also is great for those who wish to customize the pen for a particular selection tool, brush size, etc. The pen also has 8192 levels of sensitivity and can be calibrated via the software, the pen is amazing to use and the depth of the pressure really shows once calibrated for use with photoshop and clip studio. Drawing on this tablet has a great feel, the pen is lightweight and works great with the tablet texture, which is very similar in feel to paper...a very nice touch and makes using the tablet very enjoyable. I tested this product on clip Studio & Photoshop and the whole process in both programs was great...minimal lag, great pressure pick up and the ability to get the best brush strokes in both of these illustration programs was very impressive. Overall, this is a fantastic addition to the VEIKK range...as a starter or intermediate tablet for artists/illustrators, this really is a great piece of hardware and works fantastically, as a starter tablet it also is very cost effective and is great value for money...I look forward to seeing what else VEIKK will produce next as this is another great addition to their growing range. GO BUY THIS TABLET!

As a website/graphics designer I needed a tablet that can actually withstand high usage. Thought I would try out Veikk as I have read some good reviews about them. Saw this tablet (Veikk A15) and the price was too good to be true, so initially I was hesitant about the quality but thought I would give it a go anyway. And I’m glad I did! It arrived and the packaging was great aesthetically. The tablet itself looked good and hardwearing. When going onto the installation of it on my computer, it is so easy and straightforward that anyone could do it. It took no time at all. So I went straight on to testing it with my software and I’m impressed. The tablet is very responsive and the work area is perfect for my needs. The A15 tablet also has customisable buttons on the left for keyboard shortcuts, which again it a godsent for me. And you can switch between pen and eraser on the battery-less pen, that has saved me a lot of time. I have been using this little beauty for a few days now and not had any problems at all. It has withheld up to everything that I have thrown at it so far.. I love it! Having used more expensive brands in the past, I have to admit that this is a great contender. If you are looking for a tablet for freehand graphics etc that is reliable and affordable, I would definitely recommend the Veikk A15. I cannot sing the praises anymore for the Veikk A15… Keep it up guys, you’re doing something right!

As someone who had been using Wacom tablets for over 15 years, I finally got frustrated enough with their constant driver issues and decided to try out a new type of tablet. The VEIKK A15 tablet stood out to me because of it's affordable price and sleek design. Of course I was hesitant to try out a new brand, but to my surprise I'm really enjoying it. Just as the description stated, the product came with the tablet, tablet pen (and sleeve for it), an artist glove, replacement nibs, nib remover, usb cable, and installation guide. Packaging was compact and no fuss to get to the product. We all have experienced receiving a product and it's just packaged with a ton of unnecessary filler. The VEIKK A15 had none of that. The first thing you see is the tablet and glove laid out in front of you and then the rest of the items underneath supported with a carboard piece. The installation process was actually fairly simple. I downloaded the driver, plugged in my new tablet, and it was ready to go! I had expected to run into driver complications, since I had issues with my Wacom Intuos Art on multiple occasions but so far nothing. Unfortunately I am unsure if others, who had other art tablet drivers installed, would have the same smooth experience as I did (I recently got a new computer so I didn't have my Wacom driver installed anymore), but the recommendation of uninstalling any previous tablet drivers is a fairly simple process so others shouldn't have much difficulties with that. Onto the tablet itself! So far I'm loving it. It's actually extremely light for it's size and I can comfortably carry it with one hand if needed. Since this tablet is a much larger size than my old one and it takes up a lot more space on my desk I have to move my keyboard around and therefore don't have access to my ctrl+z... and as you know as an artist having that undo is essential! Well, that's no problem since I can simply assign the undo to one of the 12 buttons to the left. It's super easy to customize your buttons too! Just open the VEIKK tablet settings and it's under the 'function' tab. Super easy. The pen is also very lightweight and has two buttons which you can also assign to any shortcut you want. I know most people would probably want to shortcut it to their undo, but since I'm used to an intuos pen I kept the first button as it's default right click. The texture of the tablet is very similar to my intuos art and so it gives a slight sense of you drawing on paper vs a glass screen like some other tablets have. I prefer the slight texture since that's what I'm used to so it works out perfectly for me. Overall? This tablet is a good for anyone, whether you're an artist who had been drawing for years or are just starting out. I would highly recommend this tablet to someone who is looking for a cheap, but good tablet to use.

This tablet works wonders. Compared to the previous version of this tablet, having a scroll wheel for switching through my tools faster than pressing buttons. The tablet's thickness is very comfortable for when I do my art. Although for its size, it takes up quite a lot of my workspace and I have to move things around my desk to make space, but other than that, it's great. Pen tracking works just fine and the pen stand is a very nice accessory.
