Graphic Drawing Tablet VEIKK A30 10 x 6 Inch Drawing Tablet for Beginner

I was really impressed with this drawing tablet. From the high spec packaging to the small touches, such as the yellow sticker to remind you there is a small packet of spare nibs in the box. To the glove that helps stop sweat transference from the side of your hand ending up on the tablet. The set-up is the most user friendly I have come across and it took me less than 10 minutes to download the driver and assign my hot keys. The calibration was spot on straight out of the box. No jumping around the screen, just straight to the spot. The pen is nice and light so you won't get hand strain and it's a good size width wise. I also like that it doesn't require a battery or charging as there is nothing worse than a pen running out of power half-way through a project. The drawing area is generous and I didn't run off the side, top or bottom of it like I have with other tablets. I will use this mainly in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. It's great for artists, illustrators, designers and photographers and probably more! I quite liked that I could hear the pen as it moved around the surface too. For the price I think this tablet is exceptional value for money and if you gave it as a gift it will look as if you've spent far more than you have.

I’ve become quite the fan of Veikk tablets. Last year I purchased the A15 for the office and was impressed with the quality/functionality for the price – I now wanted a new tablet for the home office, so once again, after searching online and looking at all the tablets now on offer by various brands such as XP-Pen, Huion etc (not forgetting Wacom – they are just more expensive!), I decided to once more give Veikk a spin – this time it’s the A30… The box contains the usual suspects: Tablet (obviously!), Pen, USB-C cable, spare nibs (& extractor tool), instruction manual and a ‘Thank you for purchasing this tablet’ card which, on reverse, gives you a link where to download the drivers (no more CD’s!). It’s not clear exactly what the guarantee is on this, but there are contact details listed for the Veikk website – plus, if you’re not happy and/ or the product is faulty, I guess you can simply return to Amazon etc… After unplugging my older, smaller tablet and un-installing the drivers, I plugged in the A30, went to Veikks website and downloaded/installed their drivers (interestingly, their drivers are a ‘one size fits all’ type – all their tablets run off the same drivers and are automatically detected). The tablet itself has a nice large 10”x6” drawing area – it really does seem huge compared to my old skool Wacom Bamboo 6”x4” I was still using! It’s quite thin (9mm), but feels very sturdy and well built – it’s very light and can be easily chucked into a laptop bag etc… It’s nice to see USB-C being used – its ‘looks’ a lot neater and takes up less room on my already cramped workspace (plus you don’t have to go through that ritual of ALWAYS plugging in a USB the wrong way around first…!) 😊 OK – test time… On the left side of tablet is a glossy vertical ‘strip’ which is where the touch-pad sits and four programmable ‘touch key’s (or ‘buttons’). I found using the touch pad was great in Photoshop etc – swiping up/down zoomed in/out of the canvas accordingly – similarly, swiping left/right increased/decreased the brush size too – a great timesaver when drawing/designing against an impending deadline – it all helps! One thing I noticed was that if used in a nice bright environment, the touch keys were easier to see – if you sit in a darker room/office, you can’t actually see them as well as they are flush with the tablet surface i.e. they aren’t raised or recessed… they do actually light up blue when accessed – it’s a shame you haven’t the option in the software to keep them on permanently (like a backlit keyboard), but it’s not really a deal breaker – you’ll get used to it as you use the tablet more… The pen is nice and light and doesn’t require charging! Still not sure what type of magic is used for this(!), but it feels nice to use and has the usual two buttons – one for ‘right-click’ mouse functionality the other for using the pen as an ‘eraser’ (or ‘rubber’ as we say in the UK! 😊) – as with the touch keys, you can re-assign them in the software to suit the way you work… It has 8192 levels of ‘pressure sensitivity’ – not sure how many levels I used to create the illustration accompanying this review, but I was able to produce a nice tapered stroke… Overall, for just £46, this tablet does everything I wanted at a great price… drawing feels smooth and the touch pad works really well - it’s also a nice looking tablet to have on my desk! Veikk are a fairly new player in the graphics tablet market AFAIK, but based on my experience with what they have produced so far, they really are great value for money – more competition is always good for us designers and/or the end-user – I look forward to using more of their tablets in the future! Artwork was created in Photoshop CC 2019 on a Windows 10 PC using the Veikk A30 tablet.

The £59.99 A15 is a very slim and lightweight graphics tablet, and if you've ever seen entry level Wacom or Huion tablets, the A15 at a glance looks very familiar. There is a great looking red dial that surrounds the Veikk logo in the top left, but it's worth noting, this model of the A15 doesn't have the interactive dial that the A15 Pro has Underneath that, there are 12 customizable hotkeys, which is an excellent amount, and these can be configured in the downloadable Veikk driver software and, they work well, with a satisfying click. (NOTE: within the driver software, be sure to tick the 'Windows Ink Space' to get variant width lines) Veikk have been reasonably generous in the package, with a good selection of extras included in the box: A15 Tablet 1 x Passive Pen 1 x USB Cable(Type C) 20 x Replacement Nibs 1 x pen clipper 1 x Pen Pocket 1 x Artist Glove The x20 replacement nibs is a very welcome addition when opening the package to a drawing tablet, as well as the always handy artist glove. The USB C connection is also such a nice thought on an otherwise 'budget' tablet, and helps with the tablet being used for both left and right handed users - which is something you wont get on a lot of other graphics tablets. In use the A15 works as it should, with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity (for reference, the 5-inch Wacom Intuos ctl-4100k provides just 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for £69.99) and provides a very responsive experience. The pen itself is battery-free, which is similar to the Wacom line, and is chunky, but light when in use. There are two programable buttons on the pen, both of which are placed so they are easy to reach, but not so that they are pressed by accident. Whilst the pen doesn't scream out luxury like a Microsoft Surface pen or the Apple Pencil, it feels well made, and the matte black finish compliments the tablet as well - although from a design point of view, I would have personally added a red ring around the pen to match the tablet. I use the A15 with Adobe Photoshop and my go-to drawing app Leonardo and the A15 doesn't disappoint in use, with a good amount of real estate to work on and the function keys making production faster as you work. Overall, the Veikk A15 is a great tablet for both beginners and veterans alike, and at a great price too.

I received my Veikk A30 tablet this week, delivery was extremely fast (and free for Amazon Prime members!). The box design had me excited from the get go, tells you what you need to know in terms of report rate speed (250 RPS), Lines per inch (5080 LPI), levels of pressure sensitivity (8192) and size 10”x6” all of which are particularly impressive given the low price of the tablet. On opening the box, all components were well packaged with the tablet itself on immediate view with the accessories tidily stored underneath. You get; • A30 tablet • Battery free stylus pen with two hot key buttons • Type C USB adaptor cable • Nib replacement tool with spare nibs • Quick start guide Handling the tablet it feels light, looks extremely sleek and barely thicker than my smart phone. I was thrilled to find that it fit comfortably inside one of my padded laptop bag compartments although I can see the benefit of buying a tablet pouch to protect it rather than leave it on my desk inbetween uses. Setup was surprisingly straightforward and devoid of some of the language issues I’ve encountered when installing other Chinese gadgets. The tablet is powered via the USB cable so no need to charge it for first time use and plugging it into my Windows 10 laptop launched the setup utility. After a reboot, the utility launched on startup to enable me to set the hot key settings. Even though by default the stylus is set to work as a pen rather than a mouse, hovering the stylus over the tablet, without making contact gained immediate control of the mouse cursor. By default the primary stylus hot key was set to right mouse click but this was quickly changed to left mouse click whilst I configured the tablet and got used to using the stylus. The position of the stylus hotkeys and moving the cursor when hovering above the tablet takes a bit of getting used to but very quickly I stopped looking at the tablet and was navigating the software just from looking at my screen. In addition to the two hot keys on the stylus, there are an additional 4 hot keys on the tablet that you can tailor to input your most frequently used settings in your sketching software. Within 10 minutes of opening the box, I was already using the stylus to sketch directly into photoshop. If I had one criticism, the stylus feels a little light and could do with being heavier but that’s probably a personal preference. I would also love to see a stylus holder mounted on the tablet itself, I can see myself spending time hunting for this in future! I want to spend a few weeks using the tool in earnest and complete a full drawing project before I can really comment on how the tablet has helped my creative process but on first impressions the VEIKK A30 appears to be a well designed quality product, simple to use with very good performance specs for an amazing price. Highly recommended.

Purchased this tablet for both the price and the recommendations I've seen online. First impression is great, the packaging is high quality, and the tablet itself sports a sleek modern design. Having used similar style of graphics tablet in the past in terms of price and size (Wacom and XP-Pen) I can personally say this VEIKK tablet trumps other similar tablets in terms of style. The tablet has a nice striking logo which comes in a variety of colours and is quite aesthetically pleasing. Below the logo are 6 pairs of hot keys that can be customised for various shortcut commands, something that many tablets have, and is a nice function; once I got used to them and set up the shortcuts appropriately, these buttons are definitely more convenient than using regular keyboard shortcuts. Drawing surface of the tablet is clearly marked and is nice and wide, with the dimension matching most monitors so drawing with it feels natural. The surface of the tablet itself is just lightly textured enough that it feels smooth to touch but has just enough resistance on the pen. The pen is light and is a nice size, with a slight increase in width near the tip which made the pen much more ergonomic, easier and comfortable to used for extended time, unlike other tablet pens which are uniform in width. There are also 2 shortcut buttons on the pen itself, a nice standard feature, which is a right click or switch to eraser/rubber. Another nice addition from VEIKK is the pen pocket so I can keep the pen protected and less likely to be lost (which happens more often than I'd like to admit in the past). The tablet also comes with 20 additional replacement nibs for the pen and a glove, both of which are nice to have, and connects using a USB-C to USB cable that has a decent length. Another detail that I like is that the USB-C end which connects to the tablet is a right angle one. Tablet itself aside, setting up it is relatively quick and simple. Instructions are included in the box and will point you where you need to go to download the driver for the tablet. Once install, accompanying program for the tablet has a lot a features and settings, such as all the customisable hot keys and buttons as well as calibrations and monitor settings. I primarily use Clip Studio Paint, but I also tested the tablet with Paint.NET, and the tablet works well in both, and any settings can be adjusted with the installed program. Overall, this is a great tablet for the price, perfect as an entry level tablet of if you want a smaller tablet with a sleek modern, and stylish design.

As someone who does digital art quite a lot, I have particular tastes when it comes to graphics tablets, and know what sort of thing to look for. The Veikk A15 surpassed my expectations. The design is sleek and straight forward, with the command buttons being laid out perfectly to my non-sketching hand, and being able to program them for keyboard shortcuts is a massive help, particularly saving on having to press "Ctrl-Z" or "Ctrl-Shift-N", which means having to put down the tablet and disrupting the flow. The driver is easy to acquire, install, and I was ready to draw within minutes with a very simple and intuitive software, which allows me to map the commands I need very easily, especially being able to switch between pencil and eraser functions at the touch of a button, which is so much better than many other tablets that either lack this function, or rely on a rear pressure sensor on the pen which is prone to jamming or not functioning as intended. But what really sells me on the tablet is the compatibility with portable devices. I have been looking for sometime for a drawing tablet that works with my tablet PC, so I can sketch whilst away from my desk, and some have unfortunate issues with interface, size, or having an arbitrary restriction on work space when connected to handheld devices. The Veikk A15 works reliably with my work tablet, and I am looking forward to when convention season rolls up, and this will give me the freedom to work away from my desk. If you're someone who is looking not just for a reliable tablet, but a good one on a budget, look no further.

I ordered this product in February 2020 and now I'm experiencing issues with my tablet so I thought it would be the perfect time to review this product. If you're on a budget and want an affordable tablet, I cannot recommend this product enough - it does the job, it functions well and is accurate even when I went through my PC upgrade from £1k all-in-one-powerful PC to a customised £2k well-built PC. All it takes is simple hand-eye coordination and if you have multiple monitors like me - fear not, it can be mapped to just one screen. Additionally, the tablet is also lightweight and a big upgrade for a beginner as I went from a HUION A5 tablet to a VEIKK A15 tablet (A4 sized), and the replacement parts are fairly affordable and if you've lost them - the warranty will cover you. When my pen nib was pushed too far into the pen, I received a new one shortly after contacting their support team. In terms of drivers - there was a slight issue with it as once you open the drivers, there is no window so you have to keep it open otherwise you'll need to reopen the program again. Sometimes it does open but there's no information or it'll stay stuck loading or "checking for updates" but it's OK, it can be an easy fix with a quick restart and overall, isn't mostly an issue unless you love to fiddle with the mapping and functions of the tablet. Speaking of which, it does allow you a variety of customized options. Would I say it's good for a beginner? Not necessarily due to the number of buttons and functions it has but once you get it all mapped out - it's quite efficient and favourable to use as you can tailor it to a variety of programs in a set of profiles. It can be overwhelming at the start but eventually, you'll learn where the buttons are and as I've said, you can change them for different apps. It is budget-friendly for a beginner, though. You can even check if the pen pressure is working on your tablet so it's also easy to identify issues and fix them accordingly. I personally use a software called Krita and sometimes it's a bit of a hassle dealing with tablet problems and Krita configuration. It's just going back and forth between switching WinTab, Windows Pen Ink, and replugging your tablet to reset pen pressure etc. I'll just say that for me, there was a bit of a conflict that was easy to fix but since it's a common problem, it's just mere convenience. Though I will say that it has happened more now that the tablet is suffering hardware issues than when I initially bought it. The issue that I have now is that I tend to rest on my tablet a lot and apparently, really hard. So to say that it's lasted this long up until now - it has a durable life for its price. The issue I have is the pen pressure glitching in Krita and when I reconnect, the buttons stopped functioning and also the pen pressure still doesn't work no matter what I do (basically, the tablet just stopped recognising my inputs). Still a good tablet to have as a backup and will still work in other programs that do not require pen pressure like OSU. If you are experiencing something similar, I'd say to save the tablet as a backup. The cable for connecting the tablet to any PC is a male USB to male USB-C (if I have my terms correct). I will say that the initial cable that came with did not last very long. I don't know what made the connectivity faulty but it stopped linking the two devices together. However, I am currently using a cable for the Logitech G733 headset and it's working perfectly fine. So I suppose any data cable works. Also, I have to say, I'm absolutely raving about the battery-free pen - the best purchase anyone can make if you're on a budget and yes, this does come with replacement parts but if you need any or need a replacement, VEIKK will have you covered in no time if you contact their support (as long as you have your warranty). It's also compatible with Windows Ink so you can definitely write in your text if you want to. Just contact support if you have your warranty; make the best of it and don't waste it. In terms of it being easy to use - it depends. There's a lot of buttons and you can make them as complex as you want but I will reinstate that it does get easier to use the longer you use it. So... it's not easy from the get-go, is what I'm trying to say, I guess. Anyone can learn their tablet layout within a week anyway. Highly recommend it if you're on a budget, have good hand-eye coordination, and are a beginner. Just be wary that the driver can be a bit finnicky.

Fantastic. Bought it to replace my old bamboo one tablet and immediately wished I'd done it years ago. Good size and easy to setup and customise. If you use photoshop or zbrush etc, this is perfect for the task.

As someone who had been using Wacom tablets for over 15 years, I finally got frustrated enough with their constant driver issues and decided to try out a new type of tablet. The VEIKK A15 tablet stood out to me because of it's affordable price and sleek design. Of course I was hesitant to try out a new brand, but to my surprise I'm really enjoying it. Just as the description stated, the product came with the tablet, tablet pen (and sleeve for it), an artist glove, replacement nibs, nib remover, usb cable, and installation guide. Packaging was compact and no fuss to get to the product. We all have experienced receiving a product and it's just packaged with a ton of unnecessary filler. The VEIKK A15 had none of that. The first thing you see is the tablet and glove laid out in front of you and then the rest of the items underneath supported with a carboard piece. The installation process was actually fairly simple. I downloaded the driver, plugged in my new tablet, and it was ready to go! I had expected to run into driver complications, since I had issues with my Wacom Intuos Art on multiple occasions but so far nothing. Unfortunately I am unsure if others, who had other art tablet drivers installed, would have the same smooth experience as I did (I recently got a new computer so I didn't have my Wacom driver installed anymore), but the recommendation of uninstalling any previous tablet drivers is a fairly simple process so others shouldn't have much difficulties with that. Onto the tablet itself! So far I'm loving it. It's actually extremely light for it's size and I can comfortably carry it with one hand if needed. Since this tablet is a much larger size than my old one and it takes up a lot more space on my desk I have to move my keyboard around and therefore don't have access to my ctrl+z... and as you know as an artist having that undo is essential! Well, that's no problem since I can simply assign the undo to one of the 12 buttons to the left. It's super easy to customize your buttons too! Just open the VEIKK tablet settings and it's under the 'function' tab. Super easy. The pen is also very lightweight and has two buttons which you can also assign to any shortcut you want. I know most people would probably want to shortcut it to their undo, but since I'm used to an intuos pen I kept the first button as it's default right click. The texture of the tablet is very similar to my intuos art and so it gives a slight sense of you drawing on paper vs a glass screen like some other tablets have. I prefer the slight texture since that's what I'm used to so it works out perfectly for me. Overall? This tablet is a good for anyone, whether you're an artist who had been drawing for years or are just starting out. I would highly recommend this tablet to someone who is looking for a cheap, but good tablet to use.

This tablet works wonders. Compared to the previous version of this tablet, having a scroll wheel for switching through my tools faster than pressing buttons. The tablet's thickness is very comfortable for when I do my art. Although for its size, it takes up quite a lot of my workspace and I have to move things around my desk to make space, but other than that, it's great. Pen tracking works just fine and the pen stand is a very nice accessory.

I love this tablet, easy to manage, pen sensitivity is impressive given the price, as a digital artist i find it handy and efficient.
