- Lithium Battery Isolation Manager

I wanted to convert my lead acid batteries to LifePO4 in my motorhome. I watched many YouTube videos and read lots of articles. I looked at DC to DC chargers and BIMs like this. I decided to go this way and I think it was a good decision. My motorhome already had a BIM that was physically the same as this one, just not for Lithium so it was pretty easy to swap it out. I just took out the original BIM and put this one in its place with the same connections and everything seems to be working properly.

Installation is very easy. Connect the two battery cables to the appropriate terminals. Run a ground wire from the ground terminal to RV chassis. Find an ignition activated wire (one that only has power then ignition is running) and connect that to the ignition terminal. If you want to override and manually connect your house and chassis battery, just run a wire from positive battery terminal through a toggle switch and to signal terminal. Cheap precaution to avoid burning out your vehicle's alternator on long drives.

Works as described, be sure to identify wires needed for operation , and take photos before dissembling existing system.

Awesome product when retrofitting lithium batteries in an RV as coach batteries when chassis batteries are standard or AGM. Construction seems rugged and I have used now for thousands of miles. Same size and bolt pattern as white BMS 225.

Got LiPo batteries for my RV, so I had to upgrade my BIM. This is a direct replacement for the lead acid type. The hard part was getting the old one out of the RV. Otherwise, you just put the cables back where they were and you're off!

Just did the swap so will update the review in a few months. Upgrading the current solenoid to this LIbim225 after replacing my 2 AGM batteries with 2 Renogy Pro heated 100ah batteries. (2 100ah lithium batteries (12V lithium RV battery, like the Renogy 100Ah RBT12100LFP-BT-US, which has a 100a max discharge current and Maximum Continuous Charging Current of 100a) and my 180ah alternator, with the LI-BIM 225. Everything is working and charging OK (solar, generator, and alternator). Picture of the old solenoid and new BIM). TIP: if installing in a Travato or Solis, there is a great youtube video to follow by Scott. Hoping this will save the strain on my alternator. will check back.

I replaced my old 2000w charger inverter with a Pure Sine Wave 3000w. I also replaced my wet cell house batteries with two 300ah LiFePo4 batteries. I have a 40' Class A diesel Motorhome. I was cautioned that without the BIM, I could potentially ruin my alternator. This wired in quickly when upgrading my system and sits in my electric bay next to my new Charger Inverter. 3 months in use and everything is functioning as it should. I can watch the needle on my amp gauge on my dash move when the BIM kicks in or times out.

Terrible Customer support & documentation. Battle Born. customer support stated they will not aid in installation with instructions even though product was purchased from their Amazon store. that. being said the product works great, be very cautious with installation.

This intelligent battery isolation manager was my choice for converting from AGM to LiFePO4 house batteries over DC-DC Convertors on my boat. It can handle higher currents than the common converters. They are also much less expensive.

I installed lithium batteries in my RV so I had to upgrade the BIM to this model. Installation is easy and it’s working great. FYI, if you install this BIM you don’t need to install a DC-DC charger (according to the manufacturer).

A must have when going to lithium batteries in your RV. Easy to install and they are the OEM brand used in most high end RV’s.
