I bought this out of desperation for a 16-hr road trip back in June and it has pretty much become my six-year-old's most prized possession! Granted she already loved to color and draw so this fit right into that passion. Didn't create it, in other words.I'll include a photo of the set up in our car. The size of the kit and the fact that there's nowhere flat on the kit itself to color makes it a little unwieldy. I had to prop it up on something between the car seats and I brought along a clipboard for the paper. It kept her entertained on the long road trip much longer than I thought it would.I would say, though, that this has been super valuable for every day (even not on a trip). My daughter loves having her markers (that cannot be used by her little brother, in other words) and she uses it daily. She has used it so much most of the markers dried up and we ended up buying more Crayola SuperTips markers to refill it (not all SuperTips markers will fit, though, so compare shape and size closely when looking to refill). I ordered these for my kids for Easter. They absolutely loved them & I loved being able to collect all of the markers & put them back in the storage case. Makes for such an easy clean up.

I bought the version before this one it’s a nice product but this time the box is smaller not big enough for a color books surface the other one is much larger you can actually use it as a surface to color on
