There are four suction pads on the back of this fish shaped licky mat, which means that if one comes off you have chance to intervene before the whole lot is off.My 9 month old lab needed to be taught how to use this, he thought that he should pull it off and take it to his bed. Fair play, that's what he does with most other toys he's given. I only needed to stick it back down a couple of times before he realised he wasn't allowed to take it to his bed, and now he doesn't try.I spread half a teaspoon of peanut butter on mine.It is so useful for distraction from the needles at the vets.It needs a good scrub with hot water and a stiff brush to get it clean. I don't think the suction cups would survive the dishwasher - I suspect they'd get brittle, so I haven't tried.

I got this for my daughters dog who is a bit of a handful in the bath and its great he loves it and it distracts him so you can give him a really good clean very glad I got it for her and Dante is chuffed as he gets a treat! would definitely recommend this... makes bath time a lot easier :)

My cockapoo hates getting washed. I smear this little thing with peanut butter, stick it to the shower door and she doesn't even notice that she's getting the full shampoo and blow dry!

Popped on a small amount of cream cheese (his favourite) on to the mat and he licked every morsel while i was brushing him. He didn't get bothered by the brush at all.

Does not stick well after few uses

Use this to keep my SBT busy whilst he's being bathed or in hot weather with a frozen treat on it. He has enjoyed it so much.

Great idea

Lots of grooves so dog doesn’t eat everything too quickly, soft material so doesn’t scratch tongue, looks nice in the bathroom when not in use
