Sony MDR-EX255AP Wired in-Ear Headphones with Tangle Free Cable, 3.5mm Jack, Headset with Mic for Phone Calls and 1 Year Warranty - (Black)

I have been using these earphone for a month now after searching the internet and amazon for earphones at a budget point of 1 to 2k for 2 days and have come across a no. of brands like senheiser,jbl,boat,and other sony earphones but I must say I'm pretty impressed with the specs of this one. The sound quality on this is pretty phenomenal (mostly because of the 12mm driivers)(P.s: remeber that I say this only for this price point as a bose earphone will beat all other earphones any day only if you're willing to dish out 11k) with good clarity and great NOISE ISOLATION (this is different from noise cancellation but both do the same thing i.e. removing background noises, P.S: the level of noise isolation increases if you use bigger sized ear cups ) and I dare say that they might beat 3k to 4k headphones in some cases, the audio may a little flat but only people who are true audiophiles will really notice and take that into consideration( trust me when I say that you are not a Audiophile if you use earphones for general activities like listening to music,video streaming and more importantly for gaming). The L-shaped audiojack is really a god send (something that more audio manufacturers should implement ) and its cables are pretty durable,bendable and don't get easily tangled unless you deliberately leave them in a mess (btw it does have a pretty awesome microphone with a universal button for those of you wondering) .Comfort wise it really is just about finding the right sized ear cups for your ears , the pack has a pair of large,medium and 2 small sized cups for you to choose from. The first day I tried them on I had some pain in my right ear after using them for around 4hrs so I switched to the smaller sized ear cups (which gave me more comfort but slightly reduced the noise isolation) but they also started giving me some ear pain again (lol XD ik ima complete noob) so I went back to the medium size ones and by the second day of using them the pain went away ,so it became my default go to size. It also comes with a 1yr warranty which is always appreciated especially since its a sony device there are a lot of service centers for it which isn't the case with most other earphone brands.So overall its a pretty great earphone and I chose this over 1more Dual driver earphones (even though it has supreme sound quality than the sony one ) mostly because its cheaper ( Im on a strict budget and the 1more dual drivers cost at 2.5k) and because it doesn't have a warranty or a service centre in India where you can get it fixed .

Good & balanced sound.

After trying out a lot of options from 500-2k range, I chose this one.# Boat Bassheads 225: Decent bass, but I'm not a fan of the design or ergonomics. It's too heavy and keeps falling off.# Sennheiser CX180 Street II: Good highs and decent bass. A good driver for the price, but has no mic. Plus the wiring insulation chips off (not due to stress on wires. I guess it's not that elastic and wears off over time)# Sennheiser CX275 S: Found the CX180 to sound better than this! It had decent mids and highs and falls short on bass.# JBL C100SI I used this for an year. The bass is decent, but falls slightly short on highs. The wire quality is good, but the jack is straight and not bent. So it could get damaged when staying in jeans pockets. (I even left it in washing machine twice and it came out fine)# Audi Technica ATHCOR150PL Sounds tinny. Felt like a cheap unit.Was tied between the EX155AP and EX255 from Sony. Was sold on the larger driver unit size on this and bought it. Totally impressed with the low frequency response and equally good vocals.

First I'll talk about the price I got it in 1200 offer included and the sound quality in this earphone is top notch and noise cancellation on this earphone is normal. I test it about 3 hours and also give this to my family and they love it, I also did a Sound quality check on some websites and it gives what you need, bass treble mids all are perfect I would say this is complete earphoneThe build quality on this earphone is ok the wires are strong, buds looks cool but the shine is gradually fading away and I can see some white surface under blue color you need to take care of earphone my last earphone was shredded by mice so please take care of yours too.And the main thing. The box is now packaged in cardboard box as shown in picture. It has all Sony genuine sticker on it so it's original.But the box has no warranty sticker on it but I can download warranty card from Amazon at download invoice option so please sony fix it put warranty sticker on new boxesThe overall earphone is good and value for moneyOnly if you're music lover if you want best build quality then thier are other options too

The sound quality of the earphones is really good. Balanced Bass but the Build its not what I like, it feels fragile, the connector is good fit and I have to push it very gently, The earphones are in Metal Houseing thus they are really heavy for me, if you are someone whose Ear canal is small and sensitive, you will face Discomfort, they feel really heavy to me. Also the Silicone Ear plugs ( which come with it )are not at all Soft. They feel kinda hard. Maybe because of those I felt Discomfort.

Sound quality is good, worth full 👍

The jack doesn't fit properly in the phone. The earphone keeps getting disconnected.
