Helpful little doohickey
Found this to be accurate with moisture, light readings. Could not independently check the other two.But this is good for the price. I bought it mainly for checking moisture levels.

Soil Test Kit
The first assignment that I was given was to evaluate the moisture dynamics of tomato seedlings that had just been planted. The huge dial indicator moved smoothly to provide an accurate measurement of the soil's moisture content when the probe was inserted into the soil that was near to the pots. In an instant, I became aware of the fact that a single reading might take the place of several manual inspections, so enabling me to water exactly when the soil started to dry up beyond the specified range. Within eight days, my seedlings' leaves revealed a fuller and more colorful look. This was accomplished by ensuring that they received just the necessary amount of water when it was required. Following that, I focused my attention on the pH of the herb beds that I had just grown. When I was in the past, I would alternate between applying soil amendments and retesting the soil a few days later, which often resulted in the soil exceeding the recommended acidity range. When I used this tester, all I had to do was push the metal prongs into the soil around two inches deep, wait thirty seconds, and then read the dial; the response was instantaneous with this device. My basil and rosemary began exhibiting greater root growth fairly immediately after I was able to make adjustments to lime or organic fixes on the same day. This was a shift that I could have missed if I had not received such clear feedback.

It may work fine, but has a terrible user interface.
Am not yet sure how accurate it is, so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt, but the user interface is dreadful. The reading ranges are sequenced: 1) light 2) moisture 3) PH 4) Fertility. The slider to choose among the 4 options is sequenced 2, 3 , 4, 1.The headings (for example "Moist" (abbreviation of moisture) are in a smaller typeface that the measurement extreme labels, for example "dry" and "wet")). The heading is also wedged in, in a straight line, between the arcs of two of the scales on the dial. "Moisture" (the full word) in larger type could have easily fit if arranged to follow the curve of the dials. All this type is very small. But worst of all, It is VERY hard to read the black type on the dark grey background that lets you choose among the 4 measurement options. Also the gold colored metal integrated into the probe is quite prone to rust, so you really do need to keep it clean. Probably a good idea to carry along a small bottle of soapy water and a cloth when out in the garden and using it multiple times.
