really lovely piece but I couldn't justify it was worth the money

Gift for my sailor husband who loves it. Color is vibrant, craftsmanship superb, sail is precision. Great fun!

Not like the picture, the second page is more real of what your going to get. The sail is a bit shear, so don’t set it in front of a window. The corners of the sails, the strings are sewn on, no little metal eye holes. Could have had better pulleys on it for character. This boat is just okay, I’ll add my own character to it.

Product looked great online, but not as great when I opened it and assembled. There are 3 major differences between the pictured product and what I got (see photos): 1) front sail angled much steeper on bottom. What I got just doesn’t look right, and doesn’t match product image. 2) boom (wooden beam on bottom of back sail) is different in multiple ways, the most impactful being missing parts connecting the boom and deck slider thing. Boom aid also a different shape. 3) number is strings on mast is different as well as placement - on mine there are some glued about 5 inches down. There are other issues as well like scratches, objects glued out of place or in different places than the product image, glue marks. Also, I just measured base to top of mass, and it is just shy of 24.5” tall, end to end is 16.5”, and width is 4.5” so it is also smaller than described.

Awesome piece for the price and looks very nice. Only down point was that I thought the floor was going to be wood like and carved lines. Once looking at it, you see it’s a printed floor. Not bad as it’s still a cool looking piece. The instruction were awful. I went back on Amazon and zoomed into the ropes and where they correctly go. I was able to get it completed that way. Overall, awesome piece.
