I didn't use for making ice cream, but rather yogurt popsicles. I use a mix of plain greek yogurt thinned out with water or milk and this mix. It took a minute to dissolve, but it did blend well eventually. The flavor is very natural strawberry and strong enough to cut through the sourness of the yogurt. The strawberry to sugar ratio is perfect - the mix doesn't have to be super sweet in order to taste the strawberry. My popsicles turned out great.I'm happy with the simple and clean ingredients of this mix. For the price, it's sometimes hard to find foods that contain real fruit and not just artificial flavor. It's reasonably priced for the ingredients. There's a lot of uses for this mixture - ice cream, popsicles, malts or shakes, smoothies, etc.

Doesn’t taste real. Taste like chemicals not ice cream

It's almost half way through summer and I didn't use my ice cream maker not once, so I ordered Crayse's strawberry ice cream mix. When i opened the pouch, I was surprised to find that the powder was white. There was a smell of strawberries so I knew I wasnt accidentally sent vanilla powder.I used my ice cream maker after mixing 1/2 cup of powder with 2 cups of half and half. I was tempted to use cut up strawberries but I didn't so I could taste the product itself. I let the machine churn for 30 minutes and it did turn into white fluffy ice cream. Yup, white.The ice cream tasted not very sweet, so our family liked that. "This isn't very sweet" is a compliment for desserts in our house. There was a hint of strawberry. But the more and more I tasted it I noticed that there was an after taste, something perfumy. Like how if you're not used to rose water desserts, it makes you think soap.This product is confusing. It says it's vegan, dairy free on the product page, but it has milk powder in the mix. They list three different combinations for making ice cream with the last being using 1.5 cups of water and 1/2 cup of milk. You will never get vegan or dairy free with even the minimal option.You do get real ice cream with this product and it's an ice cream that's not sweet. You could make your ice cream from scratch but you would have to add about 3/4 cup of sugar, so.... Not sure whether to recommend or not.

I finally got around to making a strawberry soft service ice cream with this mix with my Kitchen Aid mixer and was amazed at how smooth and creamy it turned out! The ice cream was good quality, it had a light pink color, a good strawberry flavor and it didn't have any artificial aftertaste. It was a little bit more troublesome to make without an ice cream maker, but the instructions on the package were easy to follow and it turned out great. The size of the package is great value as you can make 2.5 quarts of it.

I was very impressed with this mixture and it came out great. I didn't have half and half in the recipe so I used extra milk and cream and it turned out great and very creamy. I can't wait to try their other flavors. I would definitely recommend this ice cream soft serve mix.

We love this ice cream soft serve mix for home use with our Ninja Creami. It's easy, fun, and it's so much better (and way, way, way) cheaper than buying boxes of ice cream. We bought a large tub with a lid that we store it in to keep it dry and clean and simply scoop out the ice cream mix and mix with water to create our pints. We've found the right ratios over time and my kids love to "make" ice cream, especially with mix ins with our vanilla base. I highly recommend this quality, good value soft serve mix.
