Great quality product. Works perfectly. The reservoir isn't closed off but I only needed the motor and it works perfectly.

Didn't have the same issue with cracking the housing as others did. Install was simple, and the motor worked as designed. Time will tell how it holds up but for now I'm satisfied, especially as this was the least expensive option I could find. Happy to have my trim working again.

Make sure you gasket on the bottom plate is still good before ordering as this does not come with it and they are not readily available anymore on their own. I got it all hooked up to my 83 Merc 50 and other than the gasket leaking, my fault for not checking before ordering, the pump worked great. The only reason I am giving 4 start is because there is not a grounding screw on the top plate like OEM so I had to do some creative wiring for the solenoid grounds and this think is loud and I mean loud.

Installed easily. This replaced the motor on the OEM Trim unit whose "permanent magnets" in the motor had long ago gotten weak, and now easily operates the Trim Pump. As other reviewers have mentioned, the screws holding this new motor/reservoir to the pump assembly are self tapping. If you use them without heating the screws up (torch or lighter), they will crack the plastic screw housings. Once heated up, they easily form their own new threads in the plastic, and install easily.

this a great replacement pump for the money. it hooked right up and the trim works great. no disappoints.

Worked perfectly on a 1974 Cobalt that parts are hard to find and if you do find an OE part you will pay big. This part took the place of OE and operated great.

Just got this in today and it has cracks in the mounting holes and the body is plastic compared to the original is made from aluminum going to contact amazon to try in get a replacement
