When I tell you this light is the cat's pajamas, it's the cat's pajamas!! the softness of this light--no raccoon eyes or hard edges -- just that soft light we all strive to achieve. Setup was easy and intuitive - clamp onto the desk, screw in the second post, slide on the extension arm. voila! Control via app or desktop, and you are G2G. Packaging was top shelf!! Nothing damaged or broken or missing. Expertly packed. The fixture itself was much lighter than I initially thought (this is great!) and the posts raise it to the height I needed. The value of this fixture is a steal. Definitly recommend.

Big. Heavy. Awkward to position. Cannot overpower sunlight. Be wary of overly glowing YouTube reviews. In my case I really should know better than to just react to online video reviews. Having recently moved I was struggling with how to resolve windows behind me while being in Zoom / Teams meetings and the exposure being very poor. I jumped to conclusions that this would solve my issues after many universally glowing online reviews. Unfortunately I had issues with product quality that made it very challenging to use. But when I was able to get the light to turn on at maximum it still wasn’t bright enough to light my face while still being bright enough to be blinding. It was also quite challenging to get it to stay in a fixed angled position due to its very large size and weight. Perhaps operator error, perhaps mismatched expectations. But I would encourage people to think through their setup needs and calculate lumen requirements before pulling the trigger. While I really wanted this to work and expected to love it, both due to quality (an on/off that kept sticking) and inappropriate for my specific conditions it was a return. That said, I’m sure in the right circumstances it will work the treat. If your unit fits your needs the controls in the front of the product, no app required to operate it, and its size can likely be a fantastic match.

Have been looking for a great light to help my old eyes with tying flies. This light is PERFECT!!! Tried a cheaper LED work light and although it is very bright, it is not great “light” for seeing detail. This light is fully adjustable to make the perfect fly tying station. And it looks great.

I think I would really give this 4.5 stars, but that's not an option here. I'll start with the things I don't like: -It doesn't have a standard 1/4-20 thread mount. This locks you in to their custom mounting solution (but at least it includes a stand). -The included stand only has a clamp option. I'm sure this is great for a lot of people, but I am out of places to clamp things on my desk. I would prefer if it also had an option to bolt/screw it to my desk. Probably the simplest way to accomplish this would be to have the tube screw onto the mount and include a second mount plate for screws instead of having it welded together like this. -The power cable could be longer. If they just included a longer cable to go from the wall to the power brick, that would be sufficient. Even just 1-2 feet longer. Otherwise, I really have no complaints. It is the same size as the Light Dome Mini I was using and provides light that is just as soft. It's also nice and thin, completely silent since it doesn't have a fan, gets way brighter than I will ever need, and has good color quality. The included mount, even though it can't be bolted down like I'd like, is very solid and sturdy. It's a great light that is easily the best option on the market for streamers.
