Packed with umami flavor this fermented chilli paste can lift up any ordinary oriental dish to a next level. We received Gochujang paste yesterday and couldn't wait to try it. We made a vegetarian bibimbap and used it to flavor soya chunks as well as to make a creamy dressing with hung curd and gochujang paste. It was delicious.

Its strong umami scent initially caught me off guard, but as I incorporated it into various dishes, its depth of flavor truly shone through.
