Circuit Scribe Conductive Ink Pen: Draw Circuits Instantly

I use these pens frequently in the physics labs I teach and have never had any issues with the ink or its conductivity. Whether you’re experimenting with conductive ink or using it for practical projects, they’re an excellent choice—just be sure to let the ink dry completely before applying any current.

I used this product to repair the rubber pads on my DVR remote as others have said in their reviews. My first attempt on paper showed no ink and then I shook it like a thermometer and it started flowing like a regular ball point pen on paper. I applied it to the remote pads and it seemed dry within a few minutes. The remote worked great until the next day and then it was pretty bad again. When I opened the remote, a lot of the silver had transferred to the other surface and was causing problems. I thought maybe I hadn't let it dry long enough so I tried a second remote that I had let dry overnight and a lot of the dry ink also transferred even after 24 hours. However once I wiped both surfaces with a cotton swab (to remove the extra dried ink) the remote has been working for several days. Maybe I put too much on but it didn't seem like it. I had cleaned the pads with alcohol first and the base layer had stayed on so it just seemed to transfer from the surface - it would also transfer to my finger as a superfine powder even when dry. Also in my experiments I found that a little water would smear all of the dried ink on the rubber pads so it would not be suitable anyplace there is moisture.

2 pens came order, 1 does not work at all. The second one is poor at best.

Ok, I'm sure the manufacturer would never suggest this, but I am because it works. I received the pen and, like many, it was dry. Wouldn't draw. FYI It's a cheap ball point pen with conductive ink. My hack with all cheap pens, put it in my mouth and suck without touching the tip in my mouth. The negative pressure is necessary to get the ink flowing. After do this about 4 or 5 times and trying to write on a piece of paper, the ink finally began to flow (and flow surprisingly well)! After that, I used it on a thin plastic multi-function keypad/joystick trace that was broken. I was able to get continuity! Now I'm going to let it sit for a few days to thoroughly dry (some people were complaining it takes a long time to dry). If this works I will be back to update my review, but I think all in all, my hack is really what everyone needs to know. Is the ink toxic? Let's hope not LOL because this is the perfect item for fixing small flexible traces!

The conductive ink dries slowly and will easily be brushed off once dry. And, you need to shake the pen well, as the conductive silver powder is in suspension and will naturally separate. I was able to use the pen to repair a corroded trace on my computer keyboard. The traces to the various keys of a keyboard are deposited on a film inside the keyboard. That film is in a relatively protected environment. But a liquid spill will reach the traces and can corrode them including the newly deposited ink.

Genau, was ich gesucht habe! Spitze ähnlich eines Kugelschreibers. Sehr feine Striche möglich und die Leitfähigkeit ist Spitze! Tipp: Sollte nichts aus der Spitze kommen, einfach kurz kräftig schütteln. Dann gehts weiter. Kleckert nicht, ist präzise und Preis/Leistung sehr gut.
