Fantastic value
Great value camera with loads of features for the price I’ve been really impressed with the Aqara G100 so far. For the price, it offers way more than I was expecting. The 2K picture quality is sharp and clear both during the day and at night, and the wide viewing angle means it covers a large area without needing to constantly reposition it. I’m using it outside and it’s handled typical UK weather without any issues. The night vision works well, and the colour mode with the spotlight is especially useful for identifying people properly rather than just seeing a black-and-white outline. What I really like is the flexibility — it works with smart home systems and also supports local storage with an SD card, so you’re not forced into paying for a subscription just to use it properly. Setup was straightforward, and the app is easy enough to use once you’ve had a quick look around. The build does feel fairly lightweight, but once it’s mounted you don’t really notice and it hasn’t affected performance at all. Audio is fine for what it’s meant to do — you can hear clearly enough and talk through the camera if needed. Overall, for the price, this is a great little camera. If you want something with good picture quality, lots of features, and no ongoing fees, it’s hard to beat. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a decent indoor/outdoor security camera without spending a fortune.

Wow wow wow
Wow! What great value for money! I have been using Eve cameras for years and these are more than half the price of those, yet look way better, work better and have a strong connection. The additional light on the camera can also be controlled as an individual light in the home app or Aqara app. Setup, like other Aqara items is very easy and the product works flawlessly. Can’t recommend it enough.

Good little camera!
Great little camera , I've got it for keeping an eye on the dogs when im not home. Can hear through it and talk through it. It does need plugging in all the time. No subscriptions needed. The only reason I've not said 5 stars is because I found it impossible to set up.. it needs a 2.4hz frequency from the WiFi and although ours i dual band i didnt know how to change that, I wouldn't find our wifi .. in the end a friend that is a tech wizard set it up remotely and it connected straight away

Good for now
Ignore all the negative reviews for £35 quid you are getting a decent camera for the price I’ve got two and so far they are working fine even if they only last 6 months for £35 you can’t complain they integrate with HomeKit fine downside it Apple only supports 1080 still but still the image quality is ok for what you need install was easy, I had to buy longer cable for my install as they are outside looking at buying a third and the G4 soon, finally I’ve tried all the expensive camera and yes they are great but you get what you pay for and these are good for what your paying for

Great Security Camera
This is a great device that was easy to set up and use. I added this to my Home App and configured it to send a notification when anyone approaches my door. It was all easy to do. It detects people well. It needs a reasonable WiFi connection and a USB-C power plug for its power cable. It uses my existing Mini-Hub and iCloud account to process and then store the little video clips of people at the door, which are typically around 3.5MB. The quality is good and there's a wide range of functions.

Great Value
The Aqara G100 is an unbelievably good value for money, especially if you're invested in the HomeKit ecosystem and want subscription-free local storage options. It provides reliable performance and great features, just be prepared to provide your own power adapter and don't expect premium audio quality. Highly recommended for the budget-conscious smart home user

How can video quality be so poor in 2025…?
The camera I’ve been waiting for. Or at least, it should have been. Pros - HomeKit compatible, 24/7 recording. Decent response time accessing feed, 2 way audio. Excellent price point. Audio quality strong. Decent human/vehicle recognition native in the Aqara app. Cons - the quality is poor - Disappointingly so. My 2020 eufy 2c pro provides a more clear picture. I know that HomeKit throttles the video to 1080p but I have the two cameras next to each other and the Aqara camera can’t pick up details like the eufy. Even when I disable HomeKit and use the Aqara app, the 2k picture is worse than the actual 1080p eufy feed… will probably be sending this back and waiting for something that’s up to scratch in terms of performance or picking up another eufy camera and sacrificing the 24/7 recording.

Overall not brilliant but reasonable for price if one has an Apple Home hub to connect to.
Not very good detection; either too often with motion or too much lag with person. Nonetheless it isn’t that expensive so par for the price. Update: Have now connected to Apple Homekit and detection much better and a bit quicker than the Aqara app. With the Aqara app, motion picks up anything including shrubs moving in a breeze, people only picked up occasionally. TBF Aqara do have AI detection but for this one has to pay a subscription.

This camera is fair for its price, has sd card slot, and light, and even motion and human motion detections, the only lacking for me was the zigbee hub functionality, however for this price I don't complain especially because it is outdoors too.

Jak za 150zl to kamera zgodna z HomeKit jest bardzo dobra.

I own two of these for monitoring my garage and my backyard. They have a lot of features for the price. They work flawlessly with Apple Home, albeit at slightly reduced resolution (1080p max). They work in low light very well - the LED light provides enough illumination for colour video at night at a distance of about 3-4 metres or about 10-12 feet, but there is also infrared video which does not require the spot light. One of them is exposed to cold temperatures (about -8C or 18F) and works perfectly. The NAS functionality works but required a bit of effort as they could not recognize my NAS all the time; I had to keep refreshing and checking every day until it showed up and then once connected, they don't seem to have trouble transferring files. The AI functionality could use some work - I may be asking a bit much, but I get false positive for motion when lighting and exposure change; I'd like to see fewer false positives caused by changes in lighting. Overall, I have been impressed with these cameras so far.

I am a big fan of Aqara products because they offer a range of high quality products at reasonable pricing. This camera is a good example, its under 40$ and provides excellent picture quality. I installed this camera outside of my home to replace my old Lorex camera. The main reason was to create an automation that worked with my Aqara Door lock. Anytime the door unlocks, the camera plays a voice recording so anyone outside knows they can enter. This is a perfect setup that works well with my remote button and Google home app. The picture quality is great and there many features that the old Lorex camera didn't have (Richards more expensive BTW). So far, I am very pleased with this camera and will recommend it to anyone.
