I do IgG infusions on a biweekly basis and I needed a new ice pack that would cover my entire abdomen, velcro around me, and that would be comfortable, as my cruddy little one just wasn’t cutting it. Enter the Life & Limb gel pack. This sucker is life changing. Not only does it cover the areas for my infusion insertion sites, it perfectly covers my entire trunk (5’4”, 129 lbs) without cutting into me or being too bulky/large. It is so freaking comfy. The fact that it molds to shape is also great. This means there’s no extra added pressure on those needles and the velcro is SO easily adjustable; there’s no loops to run it through and it just stays comfortably in place. I can do my set up standing up and then relax and sit or lay down with ease for the duration. No readjusting or having to be extra careful about positioning. I tossed the gel packs in the freezer as soon as the box arrived and by infusion time, they were icy icy cold...and the best part - they stayed cold! And... y’all... I wasn’t soaked in condensation. Holy cow. Perfect thickness, whether for cold or warmth. For me, this is a BIG deal and it will definitely help to make infusions go smoooooth from now on. I have been struggling with significant hip bursitis for quite a while. One of the treatments recommended for it is icing the joint. Icing helps, but finding a way to keep the ice pack applied to the joint was a challenge. This product has solved that problem. I'm able to strap the top of the pack across my hip with the top strap, and wrap the bottom strap around my leg to hold the ice pack in place, close to the joint. I can go about my activities without the pack slipping. It's a godsend. A big thank you to Life and Limb for a very helpful, high quality product.

Had hip surgery and needed an ice pack that would wrap all around my hip and stay in place- this was perfect! I am able to crutch around without it slipping off. The ice packs don’t keep cold for a long period of time, but was able to sub out other ice packs in between. Would recommend additional ice packs so that you can be refreezing one pair, while wearing another. Will also hold square ice packs, just not in pouch. I weigh 125 and the small/medium fits. Hoping it doesn’t stretch, then it may not work. But so far so good after 5 days and almost 60 hours of use.

Though I never did wrap my leg and hip in the compress, I did use it topically, daily while reclining to heal, and then after physical therapy. Gets very cold fast, is pliable, and stays cold for up to an hour so I did not have to get up and put it back in the freezer after each use. Used it for 20 min off and then off for 20-30 and then on another 20. Perfect for the anterior hip replacement incision location and length. I see other uses for the compress... just in case of injuries and accidents.

This product is exactly what I needed to get cold relief to my hip and lower back simultaneously. It has 2 long straps that I wrap around my belly (which isn’t youthful anymore!) and the gel pad is secured well. It gets up with me when I do. It really delivers what I need, when I need it, and at a decent price point. And delivered next day. Truly nothing not to like - strongly recommend. Thank you !
