Monterey (LG6555) - Sluggo, Wildlife & Pet Safe Slug & Snail Bait & Killer for Garden or Lawn (10 lb.)

We used to get disgusting slugs in our bathroom every week or two. Bought Sluggo and applied it in the spring and then again in mid summer. No more slugs. Very happy with this product.

Works great on snails, but my puppy keeps eating it. Last night she somehow got the whole thing open and spread it all over everywhere and was licking it up when I found her. Day before yesterday she did the same with coffee grounds. It says this stuff is non-toxic, but also hazardous to humans and pets. I really doubt it would hurt a dog much--this isn't the first time one of my dogs has eaten a little of it, and nothing ever came of it. But she's a young puppy and still only 30something pounds, and I really wasn't sure how much she ate before I found her scarfing up the mess, so just to be safe, I did the hydrogen peroxide trick anyway (you force-feed the dog hydrogen peroxide, and they vomit. I can't even count how many times I've had to do this to dogs over the years. It works every time.).Anyway, so now I have to buy more. But it's totally worth it! My petunias are beautiful right now, blooming healthy and lush and bright, whereas they were chewed down to the nubs of their leaves when I first put this stuff in the flower bed. As far as I can tell, my main problem is with snails. They are voracious and they wouldn't leave my petunias alone before I got this stuff, and they were even starting in on my begonias, which they're usually not all that interested in.I noticed a couple years back that the slugs and snails around here really love both tomatoes and petunias, both of which are in the nightshade family (I only knew this because I realized the two plants look sort of similar when they're very young, and they seem to be the favorites of local slugs and snails). So maybe this year I'll be able to grow my tomato plants before the slugs and snails completely massacre them. Or maybe it'll just keep the slugs and snails at bay while the stupid tomato worms take over :( We'll see!

It immediately reduced the amount of slugs we were seeing. We would see an occasional slug appear. It was usually after a good rain. We reapplied and they would be gone again. Come springtime, I will be applying this to head them off next year.

After a rainy week, I have had disgusting slugs visiting my porch and bird feeder every night. They seem to "remember" their slime trails and will come regardless of whether there's food.There was less in the jug than I imagined and I blew through most of it in a single application (and it's not exactly cheap). Luckily, it seems to be effective and I have not seen slugs since.5/5 stars and will probably buy again if the need arises.

Quick, easy, clean, non-toxic, easy to store and keep on hand. Snails and slugs will be gone by the next day or two. I was over run by actual snails and my bug man told me there wasn’t anything to kill them. I believed him because he is the bug man, stupid me. I was having to step on them to kill them on my deck and it was gross. I finally got the bright idea to look it up on Amazon, saw this, ordered it, used it and that was the end of it. They come back every Spring but I only see 1–5 where I was seeing 10-30 at a time. I sprinkle it around every Spring and I never see another one until the next year. There are less and less every year. Awesome product.

We have slugs that should have their own zip codes. Huge monsters. You put the sluggo down and within a day or two the number of slugs is down dramatically. I imagine it will do the same for snails.

We chose this option because it is wildlife and pet-friendly. It seemed to work well as we saw an immediate reduction of slugs. They had been destroying our Lupins. Unfortunately, after a couple of days of rain, our entire garden was covered in mold from the pellets. We let it dry out and raked as much out as possible. Would not order this product again.
