Favorite Cocoa
Now my favorite cocoa. It is perfectly balanced, has no burlap bag taste of some high-quality cocoa, not over fermented and sour, and not under fermented and bitter. This is the first cocoa that I can mix with sugar and a bit of water and eat straight. I like that it is a medium to light roast chocolate, which adds to it's mild character. Will definitely be buying more.

I won't use any other!
I've been using his brnad of cocoa for years and have never gotten a bag that had an "early expiration date" such as some have been claiming (complaining?). I use his for everything from hot cocoa to making cakes and cheesecakes. I have a recipe for Cocoa Butter Cookies that is fabulous and this is the only brand I use for all of that.Hint regarding hot cocoa:Mix 2 parts sugar with 1 part cocoa and then, after stirring into the hot milk, add 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla! ;-)

Perfect lighter chocolate flavor!
Great chocolate flavor, though not as dark or rich as the Extra Brute but still absolutely wonderful! I use it when I am wanting more of a milk chocolate falvor in my baking!

The absolute best
I bought a bag of this cocoa powder several years ago. When I bought it, the saleswoman said, "Watch out, you'll never want to use another cocoa powder again." I'm embarrased to say that I paid twice as much for it as Amazon charges. Because it seemed so expensive, I saved it to use on for special occasions. It's a large bag. And I still have some left. I've used it to make some of the most delicious chocolate cakes with chocolate icing I have ever tasted, even though the recipe I used is dairy free.I found this product last night while Amazon-surfing and I am so glad I did. A couple of more chocolate cakes and I'm putting in a new order. I might even buy some for friends and relatives I have who enjoy baking. Now I'm trying to find out if this is kosher for Pesach. I originally bought this cocoa powder at a deluxe kosher #cholov yisroel# chocolate shop. I'm not certain who the certifying agency is, but I hope to find out.UPDATE: I just now did a websearch about cocoa and Pesach. Here is a quote from OK Labs Rabbi Don Yoel Levy which I found on a heimishe website (Vos iz Neias):"All the major Kashrus supervision agencies agree that cocoa is 100% kosher and does NOT need a hechsher for Pesach," said Rabbi Levy. "I have never seen any question at all on cocoa powder as far as being kosher for Pesach in factories all over the world. No one has EVER had any shaylos on pure cocoa powder. Cocoa powder used in drinks can have other ingredients mixed in, but plain cocoa powder is 100% kosher."

Sent Cocoa Powder With Early Expiration Date
I am a heavy-duty user of cocoa powder. I bake with it, I throw it into smoothies, etc. I prefer Callebaut or Guittard, but as they seemed to both be unavailable on Amazon at the time I ordered, I tried this cocoa powder based on its reviews. The taste is okay; I don't think I'd order it again, though. What really, really upset me is that I received cocoa powder with an expiration date of three months from now. Really? I spent **how much** on cocoa powder that is old? I don't think I will order anything from this company again. I'll just wait. Very disappointed. And you can't return this. The product may be good, but this fulfillment company stinks.UPDATE: A representative from the company contacted me today and is willing to give me a refund, but on the condition that I must first remove this review (and then, I will get a refund.) After careful consideration I have decided I will not remove the review and so apparently, I will not, therefore, get a refund. I rely on honest reviews on Amazon.com, and I suspect others do, too. I will shop elsewhere.

Not chocolaty enough
At first I was all excited about this cacao but soon after using for a frosting found it not to be chocolaty enough. I like a bitter sweet powder to begin my frosting's so they have a bite to them. So I wasn't very satisfied, won't purchase again at this price $20.00 bucks!!!

Cocoa Expires a MONTH after you Receive It... Bad Seller!
I do not hate the cocoa. I just hate that this was on my wishlist and my mom surprised with this 2.2 pound bag of exceptional cocoa for Christmas that I now have to throw away only a month later. That is because the seller ships OLD product. UGH!! Whenever I buy perishables on Amazon I am always given 12 months or more to use the product. I am so disappointed that this exceptional cocoa cannot be used for any of my Easter baking. I'll be using Ghiradelli cocoa from shop rite (and I will probably have more than a year before it expires, too)!
