Fantastic Pastry Board!
I have a granite countertop, so don't like to roll out pastry on it. This wooden board is absolutely PERFECT for rolling dough. Just the right size, and doesn't slide around because of the lip. I'm so happy I bought it!Update: Still loving this wonderful board! Make sure you buy a good quality mineral oil. It dries out really fast when you first start using it. I found that after a couple of months, a lot of use and a lot of oil rubbed into it, it's totally nonstick and a joy to use! I use it for pastry, pie crusts, rolls, breads and noodles. This was one of the most useful items for my kitchen that I've ever purchased, and I wish I had done it sooner!

Beautifully made
I finally used this product. I used to make beautiful pie crusts 50 years ago but in recent times they were lacking. This did improve my pie crusts, still not what I used to make though (it must be me, ha ha). The wood was really beautiful and it is very well made. Sits on counter nicely and makes clean up a breeze. I didn't think I would like the markings on the wood as much as I did and found them very useful.

Very nice stable work space!
I am VERY happy with this board.I vacillated on getting a smaller marble board (which I might still get) and continuing to use my large cutting board as a pastry board. This has several distinct advantages over using my cutting board:1). The front lip helps stabilize by not letting the board slide back further on my counter2). The back lip helps keep my dustings of flour and powdered sugar from making more of a mess on my counter3). The helpful pie/pastry guide being firmly part of the work area means it doesn't slide around like my old pastry pad4). Its thinner than my cutting board and a better height5). Have really grown to love wood as a work surface as it holds dusting better and is easy to tack dough down when stretching or rollingIt would be fine as a cutting board (though I would only use the non-imprinted side for that) but I have kept it exclusively for dough work so far.I ordered 2 as the first one arrive split, but I could still see the quality even in the damaged product. Replacement board arrived in perfect shape and I started using it that day.

Perfect!!!!!
I’m pretty short and every counter is too high for me to have any leverage for rolling out dough. I got this beauty today and it’s the perfect height sitting on my kitchen table!!!My table top is tile so trying to knead or roll out dough can’t happen there...until now❤️ I’m so happy with it! It’s made in the USA and reflects the quality that means. Thank you for a lovely product.

Reasonable quality, but there is room for improvement
I bought this for my elderly mother, who's 60+ year board developed a crack. This comes closest to the style she had although hers had the traditional breadboard ends, which this does not (I couldn't find any commercially produced ones still with this feature). - This board is a reasonably well made product. Some things to note:1) not obvious in the product descriptions - the reverse side is smooth without any of the impressed printing, circles & rulers - this is actually the side that will get the majority use when wanting to roll out smooth pastries - she doesn't make many pies where the impressed circles would be of use.2) the finish sanding of the board could be improved upon. I don't expect that competitors of this style board do any better, but I would guess the finish was a 100-150 grit sanding at best. For households with an orbital sander this could benefit from additional sanding to at least 220 grit. Do this before you oil it, as the oil will further raise the grain - and once oiled sanding further becomes a royal PITA.Do I believe her old cutting board was made better than this one? Yes. Was I able to find one better than this one? No.

Wonderful
This is a very high quality pastry board, obviously made by people who take pride in their product. The craftsmanship is outstanding: the wood is tight-grained, the surface is smooth and level, the rails are firmly attached with recessed screws and the edges are nicely beveled. It's a beauty. One look at it out of the box, and you'll know you've made the right choice. After you've used it for the first time, any remaining doubts will be erased. If you are looking for a top quality pastry board for yourself, look no further, and if you are wondering about a gift for a friend or relative who enjoys baking or who enjoys rolling out dough for homemade pasta, this is it.

Perfect size
I’ve had pie boards. I need a pie board!! My previous boards were broken by being dropped. I used to have the Paula Deen version but that W store quit carrying them. So, along come this board. Bigger than most, it is way better for what I use it for. I removed one of the stop blocks so i could use the entire board for rolling Brioche dough for cinnamon buns. Just right! Now onto the issue of warping... I’ve warped other boards by not drying the board off COMPLETELY after washing it. Also storing it in a wet or damp area will get you a ruined board. Dry it off!!! Keep it dry!! That’s it! My usage is daily as I bake locally for extra cash. Fine board.

Great addition to my kitchen
Large and sturdy. Makes life easier to clean up and move doughs and pastas where i need them. The board is large enough to keep the mess contained with still room to work.
