I refinished a live edge walnut table with this product after first sanding to my desired grit of 320.I cut these pads in manageable sizes for the tesk at hand.I used them to apply Danish oil and rub gently to get maximum penetration.After removing excess and repeating the process...my table came out like satin glass....exactly the look I was aiming for.I bought one first at an auto store, loved it so much, I bought the whole box off of Amazon.What's better is that for wood projects, these don't leave tiny pieces of material behind like steel wool.Buy them, you will not be disappointed.

Good for scuffing gloss polyurethane down to a matte finish. 0000 synthetic steel wool works as a good second scuff if you want to restore a little more sheen.

I use these on my cast iron saw table to keep it looking new and also in my hobby of restoring vintage hand tools. These are ideal to reduce a high gloss finish to a brushed look on any metal, including steel, and also as the final step to go from a brushed finish to a high gloss finish on a buffing wheel.
