I have waited to post my review due to being new at this inside hydroponic gardening usually start my vegetable garden outside as soon as it gets warm but this year I had the chance to start it inside . The nice thing is everything is included that you need it works extremely well it is only June my tomato plants are already starting to grow tomatoes they have very thick stalks and are very healthy. Very easy to use and assembling it took no time at all.

Should have gone with my gut on this one, but I went against it and bought it. So far, I have yet to receive a non burnt and roasted MH bulb. I received a replacement bulb that came in even worse condition than the initial bulb. So my closet is filling up with burnt out bulbs. Because of this though, I have yet to be able to try the ballast, this is why I am being very generous with 2 stars. But I am also afraid of something going wrong with the ballast and/or bulb when the time finally comes to use it. The thought of leaving the house when this system is running is frightening especially after hearing all of the horror reviews. Probably just going to sell it as new on craigslist and go with Lumatek. Trust me and everyone else with a bad experience, it is worth the extra money to go with Lumatek. Never had a problem with them with over a dozen orders, yet I am 0-2 on my first order with Ipower.

Since there is no place to contact the supplier, my review. This ballast worked fine until 3 days ago. Exactly 1 year 45 days from the purchase, no power. Went through all the protocall as to trying to get it to fire. Nothing. So if the manufacturer reads these, please get hold of me.

This light is amazing, I installed into a 4x4 tent, at first I thought "Holy crap what did I get into" it takes up almost the whole tent, but the more I look at it, the more I love this purchase. I had to buy 8" to 6" flanges to connect my 6" blower, so it just fits from side to side. Nice big hood to give great light distribution. I'm so happy I went with the XXL, no regrets.

I have been using this light/ballast combo since March, 2015 and have found it to be absolutly fantastic!. I dosent give off anywhere near the ammount of heat as my old ballast and is small, lightweight and reliable. It happily works quite well with my programmable times and has made my Amorphophallus bulbs absolutly grow HUGE! I am running 2, one with each light type, so the bulb can store up energy for next years flower. I highly recommend it!

One of the bulbs failed after 3 weeks, but they replaced it only requiring an image of the failure. Easy to deal with, and much cheaper than the analog ones I used to sell (about 1/3 the price).Right now, I have moved back to a 250W sodium system with a MH converter bulb because I only have one pepper plant left after an aphid attack, but when I put my 5 tray hydroponic system back in service, this will be the light source.

Numerous problems. Does not dim the bulb very well. HPS Bulb seems to have too much blue, not nearly as red as all my other lights. The cord came loose from the reflector socket so it is not gripping the shielding. Have stopped using it. Of course, all this has cropped up one month after the return window closed.....think about a different unit.UPDATE! April 25, 2017: This piece of CRAP gave it up today. Total usage is under a month. I needed more lumens, so I put it back in service three days ago, today it put out a crackle, and out went the light. It got very hot very fast. Good thing I was in the flowering room when it did it's thing...VERY UNHAPPY. What now?

Love the price and the dimming option for when your herbs and vegetables are in early veg you can save power and use more power throughout the fruiting or flowering stage and comes with both mh for veg and the more red spec hps for flowering or fruiting and the packing was great both bulbs undammaged and fired up in seconds compared to up to 5 minits with magnetic ballast comes with great yoyo hangers for easy adjustments lots of cord length to play with as well to suit any growers needs whether its a huge room or a grow tent you'll have more than enough hope this helps and enjoy gardening my friends
