OEM is hard to find
starter did work, actually works great but not without minor adjustments 1st the body of starter has long screws with incorrect threads, not a big deal just keep the screws from original starter and replace using the original ones.. 2nddrive gear is also incorrect..replace with original gear from oem starter. ...Boom your in business..

The mounting bolts were wrong thread had to modify it to work

Starter Motor for Johnson 25hp
Even with customs adding their take this was less than half the price quoted here in the UK.The only problem I had with this was the 2 long bolts holding it together:They were metric fitting and the top flange was threaded.My original unit used imperial bolts and the flanges were clearance fit.Fortunately I am an engineer and was able to 'bodge' it! ;-)Well done DB Electrical in getting this to me in quick time.

Starter works great only problem was different size mounting bolts then the old one, make sure you save the two long bolts off your old starter.
